Great Content, terrible Binding
Bought this book...twice.Loved what was in them, but the glue binding doesn't hold beyond opening the book.

Great material but poor quality control
Love the idea for this volume and the series in general. I purchased this so I could review it and see if it would be an appropriate read for my 8th grade students. I think, for my classes, this would be just slightly too advanced, although an exceptionally skilled teacher could pull it off. The plays are abridged - Much Ado About Nothing begins with a brief prologue written in prose before jumping into the action right as the party arrives in Messina - using the original language with images to assist comprehension. My big issue with this product was that it fell apart the first time I opened it. I had it shipped to my house, and I picked it up a little over a week later when I returned to the US for vacation. I packed it carefully into my suitcase and drove 9 hours from Texas to Mississippi, and when I opened up to Much Ado to start reading, the cover fell off completely - the glue on the binding must have been weak because there was no ripping or any part left on the spine. Later, individual pages began to fall out.I would still love to use this for my classes one day in the future - several students have told me they really like the idea of this work. There needs to be a better production quality, at least from what I have seen.

Better if you are already familiar with the comedies
This is not a LEGO book -- this is a Shakespeare book cleverly acted out in LEGOS.And that's fine, but it's not the kind of thing you use to TEACH the Shakespeare -- it's the kind of book you use as an incentive after the child has learned the Shakespeare. Good LEGO puns -- Jar Jar Binks as Bottom!! That's classic. I like the book. Miserable binding, though - handle with care.Includes A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Tempest (V. Good!), Much Ado about Nothing, and the Taming of the Shrew.

Flimsy but fun
Beautiful plays. Wonderful engaging pictures making it like a graphic novel. We got this Sunday. My son looked at it TWICE and the binding COMPLETELY fell off. He was being careful and enjoying the story. Ridiculous.

Not translated, just old world English
My kid is interested, but I wish it had a translation with it. My kid is 8, so she'd understand it better with a translation, and since this is more of a beginner kid's Shakespeare, it would be nice to have bothe versions on the page.

Bad Binding - Good Material
My daughter loves the book, but the cover fell off within a day and it's already falling apart. The hardcover version of Brick Fairy Tales had the binding fall off but covers stay on. Please improve the binding quality or go back to hardcover.

Awesome!!!
I wanted to introduce my son to some of the classics and thought Shakespeare would be great. He is a huge fan of Lego's so I new this would be perfect for him. We have really enjoyed reading it together. The scenes are great and they follow along with the story. A great way to introduce Shakespeare to a younger kid or just a fun read for adult Lego fans!

Very fun book series!
My son loves these lego books. I love that he is being exposed to great literature at a much younger age than would normally be reading it. He reads all of his lego books cover to cover. A great way to introduce the classics.
