Perfectly useful shape, button to hold in place, and dries to perfect dampness for styling!
I had a similar towel for over 15 years that I loved! It was just a regular rectangle and tended to slip off my head. but was great for taking some of the moisture out of my hair without any rubbing or heat. It was wearing a little thin and getting a but dingy - I realized how much when this one came! I love this towel! I put it on right out of the shower. I just squeeze the extra water out of my hair then lean over and put this towel at the base of my head (hairline at neck) and it is shaped to fall to the ends of your hair. You wrap it up, stand, and there is an elastic loop at the tip that fits over a button at the base to hold it in place. Then by the time I dry off, apply lotion, etc. My hair is dry enough to come down and be styled. I can also leave it on for a long time and it will remain damp so I can style it at my leisure. Even though I have l thick, fairly coarse, wavy hair, I find it is not really tangled and a little argon oil or leave-in conditioner allows me to comb it out with a wide tooth comb. Then it is the dry enough for your styling regime. I just add curling mousse and let dry naturally or hit with hair dryer/ diffuser. I'm buying several for gifts!

Don't get me wrong this works great for its purpose. Great fit drying my hair when I can get it on. Once I get it on I find it difficult to get the little cloth ring around the button to secure it.

I have medium hair, and this towel can take more than that. My expectations is not very high with respect to drying time. But the design, and the fact that it is like a turban, makes it very convenient.

One for me and the rest for gifts. I've only used it once so far but really liked the feel and function. Much bigger than my old turbie towel and more absorbent. So far very happy with purchase. The women getting these mostly have long hair so this larger towel should work great for them.
