This is a fun way to explore the denser acrylic paints for artists wanting to level up a bit with their acrylics.

Great variety and value. The colors are great! Anyone who wrote a negative review because they were disappointed because they didn't read what's in the box only has themselves to blame. Who pays this much for something and doesn't even pay attention what they're getting?

In my opinion this is a good mini set to start off with. You get to try out many of the different products from Golden without having to buy full-size products. It comes with three heavy body acrylics, two open (slow drying) acrylics, three fluid acrylics, two high flow acrylics, and four acrylic mediums. I have included a picture of the back of my box to show you the exact names and colors of the products, and also have included of all the products laying flat so you could see all the colors. The small booklet goes through seven different projects you can do. The things needed for these projects are a palette knife, a palette , surface to paint on, plastic sponge, or scrubby, a soft cloth, wax, paper, some brushes and water.

2 tubes were nearly dry. This isn’t a ‘set’ it’s a handful of different types of acrylic paint with no good advice on how to use them. If you’re looking to try out a new medium and don’t mind weird colors this may work for you

Nice mix of “trial size” products to explore new things like molding paste, clear tar gel and slow drying OPEN acrylics. The projects in the booklet seem doable for beginners. See photo for items included.

I love this introductory set. You are getting a selection of colours in different acrylic media along with different gels and pastes to use the paints with. The exercises are fantastic; these are well worth doing and I’ve immensely enjoyed exploring my introductory set so far. In fact I’d love to see a book by Golden on the possibilities acrylics provide. The colours are gorgeous and I learnt the fluorescent pink looks superb in paintings and visually ‘pops’. I’d say go for it. I’m loving my set!

Looks like a good selection for the cost. Haven't used yet, but Golden is such a good brand. Have used in classes.
