How to properly prep your nail for dip powder!
This product is solid if done correctly! As a licensed nail tech, I would recommend and use this product on clients and friends/family!Pro tip: if you want your manu to last, follow these simple instructions to prep your nail!1.) Remove all polish from your nails. (You can use dip over acrylic nails as well).2.) Clip/shape/file your nails to the wanted shape/length. Do not use a back and forth sawing motion; go from one side to the next in the same direction.3.) Push back your cuticles and clip them.4.) Buff your natural nail with a polar block (buffing block).5.) Dust the nail plate from any dust particles.6.) Remove excess oils with a dehydrator or alcohol/acetone.Once the natural is prepped, stray from touching the nail as it will put natural oils back onto the surface.Proceed with dip powder! Properly prepping your nail should help with lifting and chipping! Also, be sure not to get any base on your skin, as the base polish for dip is like a glue, so whatever the base is on, your powder will stick to as well!Hope I helped!

Easy to use!
Before COVID happened I would go to the salon every 6 weeks and get my nails done. I was doing solar w/Shellac at the time but I got tired of having to figure out what I wanted on my nails paint color & design wise and the time I spent at the salon getting them done, plus the cost.... I decided to try dip powder to save $ and time having to go to a salon to get them done. Worked out great with salons being closed.I'm a nail biter if I don't have anything on my nails. I started off growing my nails out and getting them healthy again prior to purchasing the dip powder. What I love about this dip powder is how easy it is to use. Granted my first time didn't look the best but, with anything it takes practice to get it right. I loved that it came with 5 colors and was a great price for the kit. I've done the dip 3 times since purchasing it and have had the 3rd one on for a few weeks now. there has been some chips but I just touched up that part instead of redoing the entire nail. I'm pretty hands on with my hands, I'm using a keyboard on a daily basis. I also garden, open boxes with my nails and have spread apart key rings and haven't had any major breakage at all.All in all this set has been a perfect fit for me.

Dipping Powder is much more durable than nail polish
** Update: I have discovered that that I was applying the top coat before the activator was completely dry. Now I wait a few minutes and the top coat has the gloss I was expecting. This also intensifies the color and glitter effect. **I have been getting powder dip manicures regularly for a couple of years, but have been unable to during Corona virus shutdowns. I got this dipping powder kit to get me through my quarantine time. The kit has very basic instructions. I tried to do it as much like my manicurist does, or as much as I could remember. I applied 3 coats, starting with just coating the tip and increasing the coverage with each coat. I filed/smoothed the rough edges but I didn't have a buffer, which would have improved the look even more. I am extremely pleased with how they turned out, especially for having done them myself. There are a few slight negatives: the colors are not as vivid as the pictures, the top coat is not as glossy, and the jars are small and would be a little trickier to dip longer nails at an angle. The advantages of this kit are that my nails looked pretty darn good for an at-home manicure, it was relatively easy to do, and there is plenty of powder left for many more manicures. Compared to the price of a salon manicure, the kit is paid for in less than two manicures. My dipped nails last at least 3 weeks. I definitely recommend this for doing your own nails.

Perfect for beginners !!!
I’m just at starting my SNS so the first time I did this was not great. It does come with instructions but I was using my UV/LED nail lamp thinking it would help but by the third time (nails pictured) I just followed the instructions and I am VERY happy with it. It air dries super fast and has a glossy finish. It does NOT do well with a light, so you don’t need one. I do two layers and it’s JUST thick enough. I file with a reg file and a buffer. I do push my cuticles back first. The nails last well for about 1.5 weeks at least. The fourth picture is a picture of my nails one week after applying. My nails grew amazingly, which is really hard for me, but sadly taking the nails off this past time caused two of them to break. I soak them in acetone to remove them, but you could peel them off. I bought multiple brands, as has my daughter, and I’m really happy with this one. We also have a nail file/drill but I don’t need/use it with this. This has everything you need, all I used in addition was :Nail fileNail bufferCuticle creamCuticle remover (just to push it down)Acetone for removal

Top coat is literally SUPER GLUE
The media could not be loaded. In my opinion, not worth the money. Easy to use but the top coat brush got hard when I tried to use it and then when I tried to use one of the extra brushes, it happened again (see video). I tapped my nail to see if it was dry, and it got stuck, leaving residue of the “top coat” (aka super glue) to dry on my finger (see photo). The pink color is SUPER sheer, which resulted in really thick nails (again see photo). I ended up using my own top coat from Sally Hansen after buffing off the super glue top coat and they look fine. The directions are TERRIBLE. Photos do no align with the steps and the diction and grammar is VERY confusing. I read on here that someone washed their hands after using the activator, and that helped with the top coat not hardening, but that’s not mentioned in the directions at all. It also mentions a “brush saver” to keep brushes clean, but it wasn’t included in the kit. If I had known these things before hand, instead of hunting through the question and answers here to see what I did wrong, this might’ve been a better review. In sum, I do not recommend this brand.

Fun & easy to use!
Super simple, long lasting. Make sure not to make it too thick, and buff well before applying the top coat.
