If you intend doing a Spanish Language Course This dictionary is a MUST
I purchased Rosetta Stone - Spanish Language Course- (from another supplier) . If anyone tries to do that course without a plethora of dictionaries and Spanish verb books - FORGET IT - you will not succeed. I purchased this dictionary to help me with the words that the course throws out at you as you progress. Without it you will try and do the foreign language course not understanding the meaning of half of the words they put out during the course.I also found myself having to buy Barron's Spanish Verbs, (from Amazon) and McGraw-Hill's Spanish Student Dictionary (from Amazon) and to top it off Madrigal's Magic Key to Spanish (also from Amazon). Therefore in short if you are considering doing a foreign language course in Spanish do not try and start without at least this pocket dictionary in your arsenal!

NOT pocket sized
NOT a pocket dictionary at all! Way too big! I was hoping to bring it with me to work since I travel all the time, but it’ll take up too much space.:( It is a good dictionary though. The beginning portion has the Spanish-English translation and the back half has the English-Spanish translation. But definitely not small enough to travel.

Tiny text!
Even though I have very expensie reading glasses, I had to strain to read the text, I don't want to have to use a magnifying glass, Too Stressful since you can't just browse without a headache,

Great Spanish-English Dictionary...AND COMES WITH A FREE DOWNLOADABLE VERSION!
I bought this specific dictionary because I already own the French version, which is magnificent. I was not disappointed with this one either. Whether you need it for a Spanish class or simply for quick reference, I would definitely recommend this one. It is easy to use AND it comes with a free downloadable version for your computer.

Terrific resource
This is very heavy but extensive. You can find any word in here. It is heavy!! Not something you'd put in your purse or backpack but great as a home resource.

More purse than pocket-sized
It's much bigger than I expected...it's more larger purse sized than pocket or even slim crossbody - but still portable. We haven't take it out for a test drive yet, we'll do that in 2 weeks. But I feel it was still a good investment, and something we need around the house as we want to learn more Spanish.

Barrens is the best.
Too large to carry in your pocket, but perfect for a bookcase to use as daily reference. I have a much larger one for when I am reading higher level stuff like literature.

I would definitely recommend this dictionary
I got this dictionary for a University sponsored trip to Guatemala. I studied Spanish for 2 weeks with a 1-on-1 teacher who only spoke Spanish. This dictionary came in very handy when I needed to figure out how to say words and phrases in Spanish. I would definitely recommend this dictionary!

Great publication, but not a pocket dictionery.
Great reference dictionary with a huge amount of words for it's size. Clearly defined European & Latin American usage as well as a host of other useful information such as verb conjugation, pronunciation, weights, measures, symbols & temperature charts. The free e-dictionery accessory is excellent, fast and easy to use. The only downside about the book is it's size. Whilst it's great to use as a reference book (eg in class) it is not a pocket dictionary. At 43mm thick it would be difficult to pop this into a trouser or jacket pocket. Fine if you have a large handbag or rucksack but not the type of thing you can slip into the back pocket of your jeans. But saying that this it is a very useful companion to have when out and about.

Great for Vocabulary Building
Small enough for the pocket but it is bulky for a pocket dictionary (2'' thick). Still, this dictionary is AMAZING for learners of Spanish. It has English-Spanish and Spanish-English. THE BEST PART is the dictionary includes PHRASES AND IDIOMS associated with certain words which is vital for learners because at the same time as you look up a word you will also learn plenty of phrases and witty sayings associated with the usage of that word. For example, "oro" means gold. Beside "oro" you will read "el tiempo es oro" which means "time is money". The way the dictionary uses such idioms and sayings will greatly enhance your vocabulary and fluency. You just learned "el tiempo" means "time" in addition to "oro" means gold while looking up just "oro". 2 birds with one stone. Congratulations!5/5.

Portable dictionary but not easily pocket-able
A nice, portable dictionary but it is not pocket-able. You can carry it with you in your handbag, backpack, or carry-on luggage but it is not something you will fit in a pocket because it is about 2 inches thick. With that issue aside, it is a decent, concise dictionary with legible fonts. Due to the nature of this small dictionary, you cannot expect too many examples with sentences. If you want more examples sentences and synonyms, your best bet are online dictionaries or an unabridged dictionary from Oxford or Collins.

Hay mejores
Hay mejores diccionarios pero lo que hace este un malisimo diccionario es que la versiom gratuita digital es una reveranda porquería, ni siquiera funciona en Windows 7, ademas sus evaluaciones son de las peores.Ademas los significados son algo confusos de interpretar
