Researched these instant boil machines for a long time before deciding to buy one when it was time to replace the kettle.. This one has really impressed us. It's got a 5 litre tank which is great in a busy household. We work from home most of the week and the ease of popping to get a hot drink now between calls or -jobs is so much easier than having to fill the kettle and wait for it to boil several times a day. I just fill it first thing and switch on and it takes about 20 minutes from cold to boil the first time and then is instant for the rest of the day. I now use it for cooking - filling pans with boiling water and also recently hot water bottles. You can set the highest boil temperature and it stays constantly at that temperature and it has a child safety feature so little hands dont get burnt. Very impressed thumbs up from us - looks quite sexy too !!!

As far as producing hot water goes this is fine. It looks good a just works.When I got it I connect to an energy meter to see what it actually uses so thought I would share my results in case anyone is wonder how much it costs to run.Over the past the 3 weeks my routine has been start with it full of water every morning and turn it on at 7 am.I have it set to 95 and and it runs all day until 10pm.Over the last 3 weeks it has averaged9kwh per week.1.2 kwh per day0.085 kwh per hourPrice cap I think at the minute is 34p per kwh so it look like this.0.029 pence per hour43.7 pence per day£3.06 pence per weekHope this helps

we happy with the first one but it lasted 18 months. So we decided to have another one in the saleThis one has a fault on it. The problem is I would to have it replaced but you will only offer a refund. This means I would have to pay £10 more for the replacement

I’m so glad I bought this is water dispenser, it saves a lot of time from constantly having to boil a kettle. When I come home from an outing I can instantly have a cup of coffee or tea. I would recommend this to anyone considering whether to buy one. It is easy to refill. When you refill it, the water reheats to 100 degrees, then maintains a temperature of 95 degrees.

UPDATE!Unit has completely died and is malfunctioning after about 20 months of use.Love this gadget! I have muscular dystrophy so my hands and arms are weak and I struggle lifting the kettle. This has been life changing and works fantastically, it’s just a gentle press on the dispense button and it fills my cup perfectly with no splatter! 5ltrs is great too because it doesn’t need refilling during the day. My carer fills it in the morning and it’s good to go all day!

I've given it four stars because unlike the other one I have bought on a number of occasions this one does not automatically switch the heater on so a timer to switch it off at night and on again in the morning does not give me instant hot water when I get up. The dispensing tube is also not easy to see. The temperature light is very large and clear though as a plus and it looks smart on the counter.

It’s a good idea to boil up one load and dispense it without using it first. Two lots if you’re really troubled by weird tastes.After that, the machine is perfect. Easy to use, very large display on the front, no weird taste to your tea.I’m getting through a whole tank in a day as a single guy because I love drinking tea so much.I recommend this machine 100%. Had it a few weeks and really happy with it.

This is not what I understood to be an instant hot water dispenser. It only dispenses hot water after the whole tank has boiled and takes far longer than a kettle. Perhaps my misunderstanding, but not what I would interpret as an instant hot water dispenser. I usually buy a Cooks one, but the last one was a dud so thought I'll try something more expensive, but have since bought another Cooks which works perfectly. I also can't stand there continuously pressing a button to make a pot of tea. A quality machine I daresay, but it does not meet my needs.
