very happy with this product. From the way it built down to the was boxed (not sure how they got UPS to ship 102 lbs) this is a great product.. I would recommend this to everyone. But if your mounting to cinder block wall throw away the anchors they give you and go get some 1/4"-20 machine screw anchors with the correct length bolts and flat washers at Ace.PS: you really need to make a 6' version in both 2' and 4' wide.

This product is sturdy, looks good and a great way to give your garage a large 16 x 2 shelf area. It enables multiple options including ceiling and wall hung. Wall hung can be at any height. The ceiling hung distance from ceiling is limited by the length of the chain. It can also be hung as two separate shelves or one continuous 16’ long shelf. I think the flexibility added to the complexity of the instructions. Also the illustrations could have been better. Our kit was missing a couple of carriage bolts and acorn nuts. We improvised with other parts. Highly recommend using an impact driver for the bolts.

Can't emphasize this enough - follow the directions! In order! Being a typical guy, I guess I figured I could just glance at the directions and get the thing done. The first one took me almost four hours to install, uninstall, reinstall, uninstall, and finally do it right. The second one took an hour, including beer, following the directions to the letter. I did both by myself. The shelves are tough and heavy-duty. The lip on the edge is a tall, so nothing's going to rattle off. I installed mine above head height on either side of my garage. Now I have more room to move around.

Very well made and easy to install. I was able to utilize a small area over my garage opening (16’) that has a slope (picture not oriented properly). I’m going to add support for earthquake restraint by using some threaded rods for upward earthquake thrusts.When unpacking your shipment, cut the zip ties correctly so you can reuse them (14) to secure the wire mesh to the back plate. The back plate has holes that can accommodate these large zip ties.

I’ve been looking at garage shelf solutions and wanted something that could hold some decent weight while looking aesthetically appealing. These shelves checked all the boxes for me. Very sturdy shelf and they appear to hold a ton of weight. I found the directions good and informative, I wished they separated the ceiling vs wall mounted a little bit better but it was still easy to follow along. I had the first shelf up in about an hour and the second one in half the time (without looking at the instructions). I also immediately ordered a 2’x4’ shelf because I was so pleased with the finish and the look.

These were great, overall. No complaints about the product quality. The instructions were a little confusing mostly because they are written to accommodate multiple layouts, configurations, and mounting bases. My biggest piece of advice would be to plan where these will go before you buy them and check and mark where the studs are where you plan to install these. In my scenario, I had to hunt for the right framing studs to ensure the lag screws were adequately supported across an 8 foot span (creative framing behind my garage wallboards, not consistently 16 or 24 on center). I could have used a mounting board but I was already into the project before I realized my studs weren’t as predictably spaced as I had hoped.Aside from that, these shelves are awesome. Exactly what I was hoping for. Very sturdy and high quality materials.

Fantastic. Pricey but worth it. Takes time to install, especially the first one, due to the many heavy pieces and importance of seating lag bolts securely. I had to do some workarounds to manage my unevenly spaced studs, but it was all worth it in the end. The shelves are long, heavy and hold a lot of weight. Shelving floors are supported with cross beams so you can pack it on. I've assembled 6 shelves and have 6 more on order. Transformed my garage and doubled perceived floor space.

If you possess the tools and ability to install these shelves then just build them out of wood. It will be faster and less frustrating. Installing this shelf will not save you time or give you more confidence in its strength then just using 2x4s and plywood.
