My everyday brush
The good:* Soft bristles that don't irritate the face* No animal hair smell* Bristles don't shed* Lathers very well* Retains a LOT of waterThe bad:* Bristles make it hard to tell if you've adequately loaded your brush* Long bristles mean you have to work harder to lather* Doesn't maintain heatShould I buy it?:Yes. This brush is an excellent affordable alternative to badger or boar hair brushes.I use this brush daily in my wet shaving routine. The bristles are soft, yet stiff, creating a great feeling on the face when the lather is rubbed on. It massages the face very well, leaving a pleasant feeling on the face when using either circular motions or painting the lather on. In addition, the brush maintains water very well - better than any other I've seen. When I'm done soaking it, I have to squeeze it, and shaking out the excess afterword still sends a good bit of water into my sink. This makes the "load and hydrate" technique work very well and cuts down considerably on the time it takes to work up a good, slick later. In addition, you don't have to smell the hair of badgers or boars rubbing across your face - or pick those hairs off your face. This brush has no scent and sheds no bristles. As far as flaws go, the white bristles are the same color as many shave soaps, making it hard to tell visually if you've adequately loaded your brush before lathering. It's difficult to just get a good visual of your soap and know you've got enough. For a longer-bristled brush like this, that can be problematic. Speaking of those longer bristles, you have to put a bit more elbow grease and wristwork into working up your lather than you would on a shorter-bristled brush. And, unfortunately, like other synthetic brushes, this one doesn't maintain the heat for that great warm lather feeling. As a whole, I find this brush to be a very good little tool that I've used daily in my wet shaving routine. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to start with wet shaving but doesn't want to spend a bundle starting out.

Great Synthetic Brush
I have been using this brush for a little over a month now. This brush has been great. To date I have not had one single bristle come out. Other brushes that I had would shed regularly. The texture of the brush is a little stiff but not uncomfortable. I usually use this brush with either C.O.Bigelow or Ingram shave cream. This brush lathers either easily. The only problem that I had was the the brush shipped without the stand. I contacted the seller and they promptly sent the stand to me.

Decent brush, perfect for a beginer
I was very excited about this brush, the color and style are excellent. Definitely invokes the days of old! When looking it over fresh out of the box it was clearly going to get used first. Upon getting it wet though I was very disappointed. The bristles became limp and very malleable. Almost no backbone to speak of. But it did lather incredibly. So all in all not my favorite brush but definitely not one that stays on the shelf.

bad
This brush is terrible! Super floppy. If your used to a boar or badger brush don't buy!

Smaller size brush but it works GREAT!
I usually prefer larger shaving brushes, but this little guy packs a nice punch. This is my first synthetic bristle shaving brush and I must say that I like the feel of the bristles. Silver tip and Super badger brushes are great, but they are sometimes a bit too soft for my thick beard. This little brush on the other hand is a little stiffer -- more like a boar bristle. I like it! The brush produces a great lasting lather and does not produce the initial 'animal' smell that most other natural brushes do. I would buy again in a heartbeat.

Great brush.
some shedding right outta the box, but it stops after a couple uses. It whips up a nice lather and is easy on the skin. bristles are a bit stiff at first, but relax after a few shaves. holds a lot of water and softens nicely in hot water. looks great straight out of the package.

Not the best...
Value for money is not worthwhile. I think if I ponied up a little more cash that I'd be happier with a different brush. This one doesn't keep its shape very well, does not lather too well, and it splinters too easily. Skip it, and just buy the real thing.

Better than using a corn cob.
Quite functional and is softer than a cheap bore's hair brush. Do not use as much pressure as you would with a bore's hair brush, just lighten up and move it faster.
