A classic for children - Raven the Trickster
It is my view that folktales - tales of such quality that people kept the story alive for centuries - are excellent literature for people of any age. Anne Cameron aims her retellings of Northwest Native tales at a young audience but all of us can enjoy all of them. This particular tale is a delightful tale of Raven the trickster avoiding work ... and learning a lesson (as much as a trickster ever learns a lesson).

Charming & humorous
This is a child's cautionary tale for all ages. Raven's selfishness and shameless manipulation of his friends is on such a scale that they finally rebel....also in a humorous way. The social lesson is clear
