EaseSure-S Nervous System Support for Dogs and Cats - Herbal

My 9 year old cat just started having seizures a few weeks ago. They last a minute or two where she shakes violently, rolls around, drools, urinates and then slowly returns to normal. After the first one, I took her to the vet and had blood work done. Everything was normal, the vet said to monitor her for now. In the meantime, I checked for natural treatments and found PetAlive EaseSure and saw all the great reviews. I started giving her some once a day: 2-3 drops mixed with water and gave it to her via a syringe. I started it 6 days ago. So far, there were 2 instances where she had a major seizure within 10 minutes of giving her the medication. Another time she had one about an hour after I gave her the medication. I can't help but think that this stuff is actually contributing to the seizures in some way. It's too co-incidental that she had seizures 2 times within 10 minutes of giving her the medication. I called the vet, and for now I'm stopping this stuff and see how she does the next few days. If she has another seizure, I guess I'll have to try the vet's solution although I prefer a natural treatment instead of the drugs they will give her. Update: 05/19/14 - I started my cat on 4mg's of Phenobarbital twice a day back in April of 2013. The seizures stopped, she only had a few minor ones the next few months. I haven't seen any signs of a seizure since July 2013. It's possible that she may have had one while I was at work but there's no way to tell (other than food bowls knocked over, etc.) When I'm home on weekends, I've never seen her show any signs. At the same time I started her on Phenobarbital, I continued with the PetAlive EaseSure because I hoped it would also help over long term. I give her 3 drops in the morning and 3 drops in the evening (mixed with water in a syringe) at the same time she gets her Phenobarbital dosage. This past December, I started decreasing her dosage of Phenobarbital to where she's now getting half the dosage (2mg's) that she started off with and so far, so good. No signs of seizures. My main concern was the long term use of Phenobarbital and possible liver damage (I also recently started giving her milk thistle to help with the liver.) I haven't been back to the vet since last year when she had her blood work checked after a few months on Phenobarbital. The vet doesn't know I decreased the dosage. I haven't decided if I'm going to try to completely wean her off the Phenobarbital or not. I would like to be able to stop it completely at some point and continue with the PetAlive EaseSure but I feel better knowing that her Phenobarbital dosage is half of what it used to be and I have to wonder if the PetAlive EaseSure is also helping. I'm bumping the review up to 3 stars and I'll update this review later if there is any news to report. Update: 06/13/15 - No signs of seizures in almost 2 years (since July 2013) - I'm weaning her off the Phenobarbital. To clarify, the prescription bottle says "Phenobarbital 16.2mg - 30 tablets) - the Vet had told me to give her 1/4th a pill twice a day, so that was about 4mg in the morning and 4mg in the evening. Since that time, I've slowly weaned her almost off the Phenobarbital. I'm currently giving her 1/8 a pill (2mg) once every 3 days, which is basically nothing. I don't think my Vet would agree with this but I'm doing what I think is best for my cat. Phenobarbital will damage her liver over time. I've also been giving her 3 drops of PetAlive EaseSure once a day, mixed with water in a syringe. Once I stop the Phenobarbital (probably pretty soon) I will continue to give her the PetAlive EaseSure. I feel confident that the PetAlive EaseSure is helping and I'm bumping the review up to 4 stars. I will give another update in the future and if everything continues to go well after I stop the Phenobarbital, I will probably bump up the review to 5 stars. I'm attaching a picture of my cat, hopefully she will remain healthy for a long, long time. Update: 06/21/16 - Cat is doing fine, still no signs of seizures since July 2013. I'm still giving her the same low dosage of phenobarbital that I was giving here a year ago and she still gets her 3 daily drops of PetAlive EaseSure. I sometimes miss a day here and there because she runs and hides when I mix in some milk thistle which she doesn't like. I spoke with the vet last year when I took her in for a checkup and he's aware that I am weaning her off the phenobarbital. Actually, she probably should have been off of it by now but I'm taking it slow. I'll continue with the PetAlive EaseSure probably for a long time. I'm also going to bump it up to 5 stars. Hopefully things will continue the way they have been. Update: 10/03/16 - Cat just had blood work and checkup done. She's doing fine and the vet said that her phenobarbital levels were so low in her blood that I could go ahead and stop it. As I mentioned in previous updates, I've been slowly weaning her off the phenobarbital since she hasn't had a seizure in over 3 years. I stopped the phenobarbital a little over a week ago but I'm still going to continue with the PetAlive EaseSure probably for the rest of her life. I still have some phenobarbital on hand in case the seizures start again but I'm hopeful that they won't. I'll continue to periodically provide updates on her. Update: 04/08/17 - Cat is still doing great, no signs of seizures in almost 4 years. She's been completely off Phenobarbital since October 2016 after slowly weaning her off over a few years. I just purchased a new bottle of this product but noticed that it's called "PetAlive EaseSure-S" instead of just "PetAlive EaseSure" - even though the picture on Amazon is still showing the old bottle. After some researching, I contacted the manufacturer and found out that the old formula has been split into 2 different products: PetAlive EaseSure-S and PetAlive EaseSure-M. Their explanation was that the "FDA asked us to separate our products that contained both herbal and homeopathic ingredients" so that's the reason for the change. They told me the EaseSure-S (herbal) should work exactly the same as the original formula. If not, I can buy both versions and combine the two to get the original formula. I just now started using the EaseSure-S so I figured it was a good time to give an update. So, going forward, my cat will now get the EaseSure-S formula and I will continue to provide updates as needed. I'm hoping there won't be any problems. I just want people to watch out - even though the Amazon listing continues to show the old formula, if you order at this time you will more than likely get the EaseSure-S version. You know it's funny, as I sit here typing this update, my cat is right next to me trying to walk on the keyboard - something she loves to do. I guess she wants to proof read it before I send it! Update - 09/03/18 - Cat is still doing great, she just turned 14 this year and she hasn't had any signs of a seizure in over 5 years. I've been giving her the EaseSure - S formula for over the past year and have had no issues. I give her about 2 drops/day. Either this stuff continues to work or the reason for her initial seizures is no longer affecting her. Either way, I'm going to continue giving this to her and I hope she lives a long, long time!

Early February my 13 year old pitbull suffered his first seizure one late night. Then another hours later at 6:00 in the morning. I took him to the vet once they open and they prescribed phenobarbital. Even though the seizures stopped I hated the side effects he was experiencing, drowsiness, extreme thirst which led to increased urination. I googled natural remedies and found this. I began him on this while still giving him the medication. He was on the medication for about a month before I started to slowly wean him off of it. I would decrease the dosage by half a pill. He was prescribed 1 and a half every 12 hours, so 3 in all. So for one week I took away half a pill, then the next week another half and so on until he was all out. While still giving him the maximum dosage of this. At the time of posting this 4/3/23 he's been completely off phenobarbital for a week and he's had NO seizures since his first few episodes around 2 months ago. I was skeptical of doing this method but it 100% works. This is a lifesaver for him. This will definitely be a permanent supplement for him going forward. I genuinely hope this is the solution for your pet as well. EDIT* Still NO SEIZURES. it's now been two full weeks since he's been off phenobarbital and I'm still giving him the maximum dosage for his size every day. Is drinking habits have returned to normal, his energy is back and he's back to normal and he's back up and running and playingas if he were half his age, which was regular for him. Again this doesn't hurt to try. It'll save you a lot of hassles, headaches and heartbreak from watching your pet suffer. Just so absolutely thankful for this. Another EDIT* June 4th as of this edit and he's been seizure free. Four months in total since the last seizure. I continue to give him the recommended dosage twice a day and make sure to never miss a day.

I bought this back in August due to the large amount of positive reviews in hopes to find a natural solution for helping my cat's seizures. So far he hasn't had a seizure since July 2020 and he used to have them every 2-3 weeks. He only started having seizures early last year and he was only a year and a half at the time. He did get outside for a few days which made me fear he would have a seizure without gettimg this medicine everyday but, surprisingly when he came back home he seemed fine. No signs of having had a seizure. How do I know? It's because whenever he had a seizure he would have excessive drool all over him and it would dry on his fur. No way he could clean that all up on his own. He looked completely healthy even missing a dose for 3 days due to sneaking outside. I feared he would start getting seizures again as the product was sold out everywhere the past couple of months and his medicine is low so to make it last longer I had to start giving it once a day instead of twice and it still works. He is a smaller cat so maybe that's why it still worked. So relieved to finally get more for him assuming the formula hasn't changed at all since my last purchase. This is a amazing product. All natural and no side effects. My cat doesn't notice it's in his food. I put drops on top of the wet food. I don't mix it in just incase he doesn't eat all the food he'll still get the medicine he licked off the top as cats like to lick the food anyway. I highly recommend this instead of getting medication from a vet that has side effects. No pet should have to suffer sude effects in order to stop or reduce having seizures.

My previously healthy 7 year old mainecoon/tabby mix started having petit mal and grand mal seizures, the vet was unable to determine the cause and told us that we would require diagnostic test costing around $5,000. Not being able to afford that, I searched for an alternative. He was given a prescription for Keppra by the vet, which I had to mix with his food 3 times a day. Unfortunately he continued to have the petit mal seizures continuously throughout the day even while on the medication, up to 8 per day, each time losing control of his bladder and becoming more and more distressed after each episode. In addition to the seizures he was displaying numerous negative side effects from the medication. I was aware of the dangers of stopping it completely, so I was hoping to wean him off while giving him an alternative treatment. I found the pet alive easesure, they did not stop the seizures but did help to keep him calm and relieve some of the medication effects. I eventually came across some articles which mentioned that taurine deficiency could cause seizures in cats. I immediately did some research to find a supplement containing taurine and ordered the Life extension Cat Mix. I mixed a dose with his food in the evening as soon as it arrived, he had a few bites of food and had a petit mal seizure shortly after (not because of the supplement but because he was just having them so frequently at that point) after that seizure he finished his food and since then has not had another episode. I can truly say that one dose was all it took, he went from having 8 (or more) seizures a day to none, overnight! It took a while to get him back to perfect health after all of the negative effects of the medication, I weaned him off quite quickly but his front teeth started rotting anyway as a result. I continue to give him this supplement and he is back to his old self, even his teeth have improved. It has been over 4 months and he has been completely seizure-free since that first dose, absolutely incredible! I was very surprised that a simple deficiency could cause so many issues, especially since I always fed him very high quality grain free food which claimed to have all necessary nutrients. It was such a simple solution.

I used EaseSure before this new bottle EaseSure-S because I assumed it was the same thing, but it is without the other ingredients that are now separated into a new bottle called EaseSure-M. That means you have to buy one of each to have the same effect as the older version (EaseSure). Its not the their fault tho; its the FDA requiring separate ingredients. I tried ES-S by itself, hoping I would help somewhat for my cat's twitching and eye blinking (like mini seizures). It did not help at all. I am not going to criticize the product tho because it is for brain and neurological support, meaning it may help the condition from getting worse. I also tried CBD oil from HolistaPet, which I do not believe helped much either. I tried ES-S and the same CBD oil together twice daily (2 drops from each bottle), and no difference. The ES-M is best as needed (such as calming pets from storms, etc.) and also because it has alcohol in it, which is not good long term (or at all, if it can be avoided). ES-S is for the long term and does not have alcohol. I was going to buy the ES-M also to get the same effects with the original (combined), but I realized it had the alcohol... darn! I can't say ES-S alone didn't benefit them internally for support, and maybe over time it would lessen symptoms, but I don't want to wait. She needs relief now (in addition to support). No difference in symptoms, however. I researched CBD oil, hemp extract extensively, and I am going to try CBD online from a company called CBDfx. I seem to be the best bargain and the best potency for CBD (full spectrum). After researching and reading the ingredients of many different products, CBDfx was my best choice (and no....I do not work for them). I ended up buying 2 bottles CBD for pets and 2 for humans because they had BOGO 50% off 2nd bottle. How could I resist. I have 3 senior cats that need it, one has the twitching, etc., another with arthritis, and another with somewhat itchy skin. I didn't try this product yet, but I am very optimistic that I have made the right decision and found the best (or one of the best). I'm sure there are many more out there. Just do your homework to get the best. otherwise people are wasting their money. This is what I learned from my educational voyage on CBD products: If it is just hemp oil and it is from aerial (stems, stalks, etc.), there isn't much CBD. The one you want is from the leaves; however, if the bottle or product does not give you the amount of CBD oil (mg) per serving, keep looking. You might see a product that says 1000 mg hemp oil; that does not mean mg of CBD, so don't be fooled. If there is any CBD in it, there should be something on label. Look for hemp extract, rather than hemp oil. It will have more CBD. Also, 3rd-party lab testing should be available to view, dated and with name of lab company used. It will tell you if THC is in it or not. Shouldn't be more than 0.3 mg legally. Look for full spectrum. It is natural using CO2. Isolates are man made, I believe. Just do your homework and don't get jipped. I found that $119 for 30mL of 1500 mg of CBD at CBDfx was a great bargain (with 2nd bottle half off). They have other strengths, of course, but the more you buy, the more you get. 1500 mg CBD in 30 mL = 50 mg per mL, so if there are 20 drops per mL (which most droppers are), it would be 2.5 mg per drop. So, you would have to take as many drops as the desired amount. Most people start low, like 4-10 mg and then slowly go up, depending on what works. I am 250 lbs, so they say 25-30 mg is good for me. Just read. $119 for a bottle (humans) or $45 (pets), it is worth it.... if it works and gives you or your pet the desired result. They are priced depending on how many mg of CBD per bottle, so they have 240-300 mg bottles which are much less. Give it a try! Not bashing the products like EaseSure, etc. Just letting you know what I am doing and what I learned. Love to share! Remember, it is ok for your pet to have less than 0.3 mg THC (or none if it works) but full spectrum with a dab should be okay, and it all works together to provide the medical benefits. Start slow. Better to pick extract/tinctures vs hemp oil) for pets. it can cause diarrhea. Also, it is best to avoid any oils in the ingredients (other than coconut oil, olive oil). MCT oil, which is from coconut oil, is not the same and can cause stomach aches. I hope most of this helps. This is what I understood from all I read. It seems confusing, but if you don't know what you're getting, then its on you. Your money to waste. On reviews I read for products that are not good... I think some of the people think it will help, so it does. Mind over matter? Anyways, good luck.... to you and I. First let me say that I didn't buy the EaseSure-S. I bought the regular EaseSure. But when I go to my order history, it's now showing that I bought the EaseSure-S. We have an office cat that was a rescue. He is a true office cat in that he lives in the office 24/7. We are a round-the-clock business, so there is someone here to take care of him all the time. Suddenly, we started getting strange reports about his behavior from some of the people who are here in the evening or overnight. At first, we were told that sometimes he runs around like he's possessed. Then he started occasionally peeing and/or pooping on the floor. This was crazy behavior, because he had lived here for over a year and never done anything like this. And he was still using his litter box. Next, someone saw him actually have a seizure. I went online and started doing some research. I couldn't bear the thought of him having to take medications that would destroy his liver and kidneys (I've already lost two cats to kidney failure), so I started looking at EaseSure. I read the information from the manufacturer stating that it sometimes takes up to a few weeks to really start working. When I read through the scores of reviews here on Amazon, I noticed that most of the negative reviews were from people who said things like, "I tried this for two days, and my dog had another seizure! It's crap! I wish I could have my money back." But all the positive reviews were extremely positive and gave me hope for our boy. So I went ahead and ordered the drops, and when they got here, I started giving them to him right away. He does not like them. He won't eat them in his food, he won't eat them on a treat, he won't even eat "people food" if we put the drops on it. He runs away when I try to give them to him. (By the way, I've tasted it, and it's not a horrible taste.) So I started bribing him. I started giving him three cat treats (I call them his "cookies") after I give him the drops. Now he will even come to me when I tell him it's time for his drops, because he knows that afterwards I'll give him his cookies. Now the important part. Between the time I ordered the drops and the time they arrived, he had a seizure in my presence, and a few others that I didn't witness but heard about. After the drops arrived, and we started giving them to him, he had one more seizure. It was less than a week after we started the drops. When it happened, there was someone in the office, but that person didn't know it had happened. We only know because we saw the drool smeared on the floor, and he was acting all weird for a while like he always did after a seizure. Since then, as far as we know, he hasn't had another seizure. He has been a whole different cat. He's back to how he used to be, where he would go out and greet people who come in to the office, he watches the birds and lizards out the window, he asks to play... he's just his old self again from before he started having problems. The funny thing is, I can tell if he's missed a dose. I'm here five days a week to give him his drops in the morning and afternoon, and I count on someone else to do it on my days off. Recently I asked that person if she had been missing doses because he was starting to act strange again. She admitted that she wasn't always faithful about giving them to him twice a day, but said that she would start. I can tell that she has been better about it, because he doesn't act weird anymore when I come back from my days off. So yes, all in all, if your pet is having seizures I highly recommend trying this - and giving it a chance to work. Be diligent about giving it twice a day, every day (the correct amount for your pet's size), for a month, and see if you notice a difference. UPDATE: Since our cat really hated these, and we had had a change in staff, we decided to see if maybe someone had been doing something to him to cause him to have seizures (a horrible thought). We stopped giving him the drops. He did great for a while, and then he started having them again. And so much more frequently than before! The first time he had one, we started him right up on the drops again, but unfortunately he had several more before they finally stopped. We increased his dose to 4 drops three times a day (spaced out about every 8 hours or so) and they finally stopped. He hasn't had one now in a couple of months. The ONLY difference is these drops. Without them, he has seizures. With them (after he's been taking them for a while), he does not. We absolutely will not stop giving him these drops ever again!

A fantastic product that can be used with a pet in the middle of a seizure. I unfortunately had to do this with my pet. I did not want to put him on pentobarbital and have him barely functioning. I wanted him to enjoy life and he does. There is no mixing required and it has been my experience that it works quickly. Doses are according to weight and the suggestions are on the side of the bottle. As with any herbal remedy, watch how much you give them. It got to the point my dog would fight me on taking some. My dog tried to spit it out. In any case, watch out for any seizure triggers such as marijuana smoking and marijuana treats etc. These things can induce seizures, especially in seizure prone dogs. If you like to smoke marijuana or dirty (chemical laced) marijuana, please do so without your dog around. Your dog will thank you and you will be providing good care for your pooch. This is also good to give for a pet that gets anxious about groomer visits or vet visits. The bottle is glass but the dropper is plastic. If you try to give it to your dog on his tongue, he may try to spit it out. To bypass his spit attempt, put the dropper (made of plastic) behind the molar in the back of his mouth. I do this when I give this to my pet and he can't spit it out that way. I am not sure how it works for pets in a thunderstorm. My pet sleeps right through those and he remains his happy self.

The product did not work at all. Seizures persisted and did not even lessen. I went through half the bottle and then went to the vet. She needed more water under her skin injected more often, to dilute and wash out her wastes, toxins (kidney failure). She's almost 22 now. She also needed FortiFlora to destroy the bad bacteria in her colon. That worked like magic. No more smell. We brought her back from her deathbed literally. I give her 200 ml of water every other day and it was my husband who bought FortiFlora for her. EaseSure might work for other problems, but not for my cat's kidney failure and toxic colon. I believe the reason for the kidney failure was too much bad bacteria and it destroyed her kidneys. Wish I knew earlier. Her breath smelled for two or three years and the vet didn't address the issue at all. Again, Chiropractors come out way ahead of MDs and Vets who cover up with drugs or cut it out - that's basically all they do, and the Chiropractors and Naturepaths get at the root of the problem and fix it. I probably said too much. But it is so true. I'd rather fix her from the inside, introduce more good bacteria to eat the bad and get the water she needs to flush the toxins. After months of seizures, each one taking more of a toll to the point of almost no return, she is seizure free with the water under her skin and FortiFlora on a regular basis.

I saw similar reviews but took a chance since my Holistic Vet said the brand was good as were the ingredients. But yes - DO NOW BUY! As other people have mentioned, upon opening the dropper it was full with a cloudy substance, residue, and black MOULD! How are we supposed to give this to our pets that are suffering with seizures? It will do them more harm than good. I am disappointed because this was not a cheap product. Has to be thrown out and I don't know if I want to "gamble," and take a chance ordering again as I see I am not the first customer experiencing this. Stay away and make sure you check thoroughly before administering to your beloved pet!

We have a German Pointer dog who when he was 4 twelve months ago started to have fits we have tried many different potions to try and help him.When we stopped giving him the above product because we weren’t sure whether it was working.Five days after we stopped he had five fits in four days,we put him back on the product and he hasn’t had a fit for five weeks today.Needless to say we will continue to purchase this product.

Didn’t notice any improvement.
