Decent headphones but I am really amazaed by awesome after sales service by Amazon
This is a genuine unbiased review of the headphones. The buds sound pretty decent & battery life is quite good. I used to charge them once every 5 days with an average listening of 1.5 hours per day. I only use it in the gym & they provide a peace of mind during my workouts. No cords can be seen since I use the X-fit option. But they are too heavy & starts to feel uncomfortable after a couple of hours. I never used the Silicone eartips & dont know why they are even included in the box. The comply foam tips are the best but still due to the huge size of the earbuds they start irritating my ear canal after sometime. The bass is quite good but not that great when compared to the wired headphones. I do know that wired are always superior as compared to bluetooth still they dont justify the $140 price tag. They definitely dont feel cheap but I wish they were made up of metal for a more superior handling experience. The provided earfins are quite comfortable & I had tried various ways to make them fall out but the buds remain completely sealed in your ear no matter what you do. I have rated them 5 stars since they are the best Bluetooth buds in terms of sound quality & design.I really want to appreciate Amazon Export Sales LLC for their assistance in returning my product. I had purchased this product from India & after using them I decided they are not upto my expectations. I returned them back via International shipping costing more than 20 bucks. When I called Amazon they readily refunded my entire shipping costs with the full price of the item. No questions asked. Also all my import duties charged on the item was refunded back to me. Hats off to Amazon for delivering such a hassle free return procedure for domestic as well as international customer.@Jaybird: I will be definitely looking out for the newly announced freedom buds in second quarter of this year. Hope the new metal design & the ability to modify the equalizer settings as mentioned at CES 2016 will solve all the major issues pertaining to the X2's

Disappointing
I was hesitant to purchase this product based on a fair number of negative reviews, but I also saw a few positives so I decided to go ahead. Well that backfired - obviously the people who wrote the positive reviews did not use this product in an athletic mode , for if they did, they'd find them as disasspointing as I did. They are on their way back to Amazon as I speak.1. The ear fitment is ridiculous and fiddly - granted I have small ears but when a $20 sony headphone from WalMart fits better than a $150 phone there is something seriously flawed with the design. I tried every part and piece in the kit, watched the videos, and nothing would keep my phones in my ear during bike rides. It got to the point I was spending as much time fiddling with my earpieces as I was riding - on several longer rides I ripped them out of my ears and stashed them in my jersey - it just was not worth it.2. Dropouts. In addition to the madness of trying to keep the ear pieces in my ear - there was a nearly constant barrage of drop outs. This was the deal breaker for me. After further investigation - it appears as if its pretty much mandatory to keep the phone, ipod or whatever within 2 feet of the right hand side of the headphone set (i.e. the controller) or you will get dropouts. Of course - that is not mentioned in the description or sales brochures - its buried deep in their FAQ section on their website. If you are a rider or runner - you know that trying to keep a cell phone or iPod Touch attached to your sweaty , vibrating arm is impossible, not to mention its exposed to the sun, heat, dust etc. The phone is best put in a case inside the jersey, backpack , whatever or its not going to last long. Doing that puts it more than 2 feet away and causes dropouts.Sound quality wasn't bad - not amazing as one would expect for $150, but not bad either - on par with a good set of wired headphones. I decided to return them because honestly, they did not work. For $150 I would expect a much better and more robust product. As others have said here - if Jaybird spent as much on engineering as they did on the packaging and marketing, they would have a home run. The packaging and ad materials are beautiful - the product - not so great.
