The Atlas of Mars: Mapping its Geography and Geology

The best book you will find about Mars
My interest in Mars originated with an article about the Mariner 4 spacecraft in the July 1965 issue of The Golden Magazine for Boys and Girls. The amount of knowledge we have obtained since then is astounding - and is contained within the covers of this comprehensive atlas. I have seen many books about Mars, and in my opinion this is the best. For those who are completely unfamiliar with Mars, it would be helpful to first read a summary such as the excellent World Book Encyclopedia entry on Mars, or the DK Smithsonian "Universe" book (new 3rd edition was released September 2020) Mars section.

An outstanding Atlas
The book is extremely informative, As a professional geographer I own and have used many atlases. This must rank as one of the most outstanding thematic atlases of all time.

Not bad
A nice-looking book. But much more detailed maps with many more named features can be seen on the Internet.

Mars info
The book has excellent information, up to date, however it was damaged. Not enough to hinder the info, but several pages bent at the binding and paper scraped off at inside back cover. The delivery was quick and I appreciate that.
