Great Hub Exactly What I need - Definitely Recommend to others.
After updating my device to a Dell Inspiron 7000 the device only had 1 USB3 and 1 USB-C (Thunderbolt) Port.I decided I needed a Hub, Initially ordered the 9-port not noticing that it didn't have an ethernet port on it which was one of the features I really wanted. I arranged for an Amazon return and ordered th2 12 port instead, this gave me the Ehternet, extra HDMI and Extra USB.Took out of the box and plugged into the laptop and after being recognised by windows all appears to be working fine. Tried the power passthrough on the USB-C (Thunderbolt) port on the Hub and power is feeding nicely to the laptop. Tested Ethernet connection and this via a powerline adaptor showed a throughput of 144mbps around what I would expect from the powerline so happy with that. Tried the SD card and other ports all appear work as expected, Extended display via VGA operated well and resolution output was as clear as my work laptop direct into a VGA port. All in All I am thus far very happy with the device. The size of it is about 2/3 of the size of my mobile phone so will fit nicely in the laptop case, feels good quality and the USBC into the laptop appears better than the laptop power supply connection. Would definitely recommend. I have also given 5* for the camera although it doesn't have a camera the USB WEBCAM I connected worked as expected. I also purchased a USB-C Female to USB Male adaptor in case my older devices needed to use the Hub although it reported some elements may not be supported I am happy that what I need works fine.

Very handy but can't get power pass through to work
I got a Dell laptop from work and it only has USB-C ports. 3 of them. And one is used for charging. Not even HDMI output. So I got this (out of my own money!) so that I could connect to my two HD monitors, external web cam and USB headset (which ironically has a USB-C socket on it but I use a dongle to convert it to USB-A so I can use it in the dock or other computers!).It all works pretty well. Video has no issues working the two monitors and there's even a VGA so I could get a 3rd one!I've got an external USB 3 Hard Drive. I ran a benchmark on it and it gets around the 100MB/s that it was getting on my old laptop via USB 3 - even though I have two monitors also plugged in. So that's good.Down side - I can't get the power pass through to work. Is that because it's over the 100W rating? I don't know. I guess that could be a safety feature in which case, dropping a star isn't fair - please let me know.

Good value but could have been better
I was surprised how small the Vako 12 port hub was, it would have easily fitted in my letterbox rather than having to pick it up at an Amazon Locker. The hub is robust and made of aluminium and the various ports are rock solid within it. I had reservations whether it would work with my new Lenovo Thinkbook, as it wasnt listed. But it worked straight away and feeds my dual screen setup via the HDMI ports. It doesnt power your laptop like some more expensive hubs, but on the other hand it is self powered from the laptop. The reason I say it could have been better is the ridiculously short USB C connection cable to the laptop (approx 7" / 17cm). The cable itself is quite stiff which makes it difficult to position it on a desktop with limited space. Within a day I invested in a 60cm USB C extension cable, which allows me to position it where I want. My laptop has a USB C port that will charge other USB devices even when the laptop is turned off! I found this quite annoying as I have a mobile broadband Mifi router plugged into the new hub and found when I switched the Laptop on there was hardly any charge left as it had spent the night topping up the battery of the Mifi router via the hub. By having the USB C extension cable I can leave one end plugged into the laptop (minimizing any damage to the USB C port constantly connecting and disconnecting) and can disconnect the other end of the extension cable to prevent the battery drain to the router. I have yet to investigate the laptops settings/BIOS to see if the 'charging feature' can be switched off when the laptop is turned off.

Compact and convenient
This device does everything that it's meant to and seems to be very well-constructed. I generally work at a desk with my laptop hooked up to 2 external monitors, wired LAN connection, printer, external keyboard and mouse. That meant that, until I got this hub, I had to unplug all of these devices individually if I wanted to take my laptop somewhere, and plug them all back in when I got back to the office. With all of my peripherals no hooked into the USB hub, I only have one cable to connect/disconnect each time I go mobile.2 points worth noting before purchasing..HDMI: Not all computer USB-C ports are the same. Some support HDMI connections, some don't. This device has HDMI ports on it, but they will only work if your PC/Mac already supports HDMI over USB-C.Cable Length: The cable which connects the hub to your computer is quite short (approx. 15cm/6in). This is great if you don't want a lot of cable clutter on your desk, but if you'd like to put the hub a little further away, you'll need a separate extension cable.

Vako Multiport USB C (or Thunderbolt) hub adaptor
I've only just plugged this in and it just works as things should these days. I've used it to replace a faulty unit from another manufacturer. It's plugged into an Intel Nuc i5, 32GB RAM, 512GB Samsung Evo 970 HDD and running Windows 10 Professional in a commercial environment. I'm using it to run 2 additional HDMI monitor (3 x HP 24w 24" LED monitors - 1 from the Intel Nuc HDMI port and 2 from the Vako). I also have USB keyboard, USB mouse and USB webcam for business video calls plugged into this hub and it all just works as expected. It's now been on for around an hour and its barely warm to the touch. Unlike the last one which was hot to the touch, around 40C plus just before it died. The only thing I can suggest to make this even more perfect would be the addition of a 3.5mm audio out but honestly, I love it. If anything changes, I'll update this review.
