In the event that the batteries die, you can take a 9V battery and place it on the 9V battery terminals on the face of the lock. Doing this will provide you with enough power to enter your entry code into the lock and unlock the door and then you will be able to change your batteries. The lock also provides several audible and visual low battery warnings to prevent from a lock out situation.
