These electronics are very poor quality. Only buy if you want to replace every year or two. Instead consider changing over the controls to something reliable from Honeywell. Y8610U4001 Retrofit kit gets you reliable components that do the same thing for years to come. Think about it. Your natural gas hot water heater ignites flawlessly for 10 years. Why does your fireplace using the similar components stop working every season? Cheap electronics! My fireplace works reliably after the conversion utilizing most of the original fireplace. Time well spent upgrading vs replacing with junk.

Old module had been going in and out for the past two years. Module would beep and fire would shut off and on, until finally it just altogether quit working last week. It would blink a red light every 30 seconds or so, but nothing else. Just received the new module, swapped the batteries in, and we’re back in business.

My old one would randomly turn my fireplace on. I thought it was the thermostat at first so I replaced that but that didn't work.I was so relieved to see this replacement part so I ordered it and installed it. It took about 2-5 minutes to install and we haven't had the problem since.It was a running joke in our family that we had a phantom fireplace--glad to have it fixed!

Luckily I kept the old switch which I was replacing, as this new unit (even though it was wrapped in a plastic bag with a label) was missing the cover for the battery compartment. Had I not had this cover on hand, this new switch would have been unusable.

Defective produce, charged a 10% restocking and had to fight for the tax refund. Do not recommend. Amazon had to make it right

Bought this switch trying to light fireplace will keep it for a spear, was a bad connection in another part of the electronic starting system.

Old switch box died. Ordered this one and swapped it in, no problem.
