I didn't get to use it, but I suppose it works.

This probe arrived quickly, and it appears to be made solid, as solid as a sensor can be I guess. I easily plugged it in and it worked fine. I like the color, red, as it helps it stick out from the other wires around the machine. Would be nice to see maybe some magnetic implementation so it can just "stick" on the side somewhere. That's definitely an option, using a small simple rare earth magnet. Definitely worth the money for this tool, even though I may not use it as much. I can see it lasting for along time, the plastic is a decent quality plastic, not like the cheap plastics parts found on many things.

great tool to set bit height just takes some practice to get to using it makes doing carvings a lot easier

This item works well

Great buy for the cost. It worked like a champ as soon as I got it dialed it, it was on point. Connected right to my 3018 ProV2

you will need a very precise caliper to measure its height. You will need to find out which commands you have to send to the machine to get it working, or what commands you have to input into the sender software to make it to work, and its height measurement is the core of those commands. I made a grbl file to make the zeroing easier for me and my machine. In my 3018 pro, it connects into the A5 labeled port, and it works flawlessly.

Seems well made. Not really that much to it but does exactly what it says on the box.

Thicker than necessary. Works fine on the first try. It's better than trying to guess with paper or other methods. You need accurate calipers to determine the thickness. Mine is at 0.554". That doesn't mean all them are.
