Excellent rivet tool.
This is a very heavy duty two handed rivet tool. It is able to easily install 3/16" steel rivets which were very difficult if not impossible to install with the one handed rivet gun.

Issue with the thinner rivets
If you're using 1/8 rivets, the pin will go down into the plastic container, but the moment you want to use the next rivet, it will go back to the tip (even with another 1/8 rivet inside ready to be used) and will not allow the gun to work. You will move the handles but it will not pull the pin from the river you have. The only way for this to work, is to actually remove the white container entirely, and after every single rivet used, get rid of the left over pin before inserting the next rivet.Look, I still feel like this is a very solid riveter, hence the four stars for now.Maybe placing a magnet into the bottom/side of the white container may help, but it really depends how many 1/8 rivets you plan on using for the job. It works perfectly fine on bigger rivets such as 1/4

Wow! An Exceptionally Well Constructed 1/4" Heavy Duty Riveting Tool At A Very Affordable Price!
Wow, I was in a jam, but this Astro 1/4" heavy duty riveting tool fortunately got me out of it. I mean, I was trying to find some way of securing the three mounting legs of this attic vent fan onto the thin aluminum housing. Well, sheet metal screws were certainly not the answer as they would typically strip out due to the thin aluminum housing. In addition, there was no option of using bolts, lock washers and nuts either as there was no quick and easy way of gaining access from behind the housing. This was where the Astro 1/4" heavy duty riveting tool came into play as the three holes in the housing were slightly larger than 1/4" in diameter. Well, because I was dealing with an obviously confined space, the relatively short handles of the Astro 1/4" heavy duty riveting tool made this job workable. Yes, I was able to securely fasten each of the three legs of the attic vent fan onto the thin aluminum housing using nothing but 1/4" X 3/8" steel rivets (which I also purchased from Amazon). You know, that Astro 1/4" heavy duty riveting tool had surely paid for itself that day! Oh yes, that is undoubtedly a well constructed and quality 1/4" riveter by the way, and something that I will cherish for years to come. If you're looking for an exceptionally good 1/4" riveting tool at a very affordable price, I would highly recommend this one!

Works really great once you get it adjusted
I was installing a bunch of 3/16 x 5/8 rivets and Initially I was having trouble getting it to grip. I counted over 100 actions on one rivet to get it tight, each pull was only doing a tiny amount at the end of the travel. Once I got the main nut adjusted properly, it worked like a charm, taking ~4 actions to install each rivet. Super happy with it. Far easier on the hands than my prior rivet tool

Loads better than the single hand type
I have used several of the one hand style riveters for some larger rivets we use at work, and had endless problems with them breaking off early or not fitting well due to the way it grabbed the post. On one machine I had almost a 50% fail rate. After buying this, my fail rate dropped to 0%, installation took much less time and had much better results. I plan on buying another one for use at home and throwing my old Stanley in a garage sale.
