Works well for picking apples. Glad I purchased this one.

Dont waste your time on others. This ones the best one! Last one i had lasted 12 yrs with daily use. It was called arcoa then. So glad they still make it. My old one broke. More than half the movable handle broke off but still enough there to be usable but not as good. I might try to repair it.

I think it will last a while

the distance it can reach is great but it is so long that it is difficult to manage and to carry around while walking. folds up to a little more than the size of a regular grabber/reacher.

Bought one of these August of 2020 to use cleaning around the shoreline and off of the promenade by me and the first one I bought lasted until February 2022 when the handle broke. I still have it as a back up since it still works, it is just a little harder to get a good grip on anything heavy. Why 3 stars for something that lasted 18 months? This second one had a partial shaft failure at the first bend. I was able to get it to bend back into place but the metal is stressed and it bends more than it should. I am also having a lot of issues with the new grippers. The metal is longer even though it has the same width and the new longer version does not like holding on to stuff. It is weaker than the old version and is prone to gaping where the suction cups won't close on stuff. There was already very little strength in the grip and it is now far worse than before. The old one could pick up and hold enough weight that the bar would bend down its length like a fishing pole but the new one never makes it to that point because the grippers are too weak and it drops most things. I can still use it to pick up even full bottles up to about 12 oz but the old one has picked up half full 40 oz liquor bottles, something the new one has been abysmal at. It is frustrating because the old one was so good I did not even look at anyone else when buying this new one.

I have gone through more grabber tools than I care to think about and this one is without a doubt the best, most durable, and strongest tool I've found. I love it and can tell it will last me years.

Side lawn has two hundred 50 year old walnut trees which shed lots of dead branches when the wind blows and the rain weighs down the dead branch rotten wood. This wonderful 32" grabber tool lets me walk around and load a plastic tarp with all that tree trash the day after, and it keeps me standing up without any stress on my knees. The spring action that needs be overcome with a squeeze every time it's used is reasonable. I tried the 40 inch version and that one required considerably more effort to squeeze, so much so that I returned it.

Used it once to access a remote Wyze camera with magnetic base, 15 feet above ground under overhang on top of A frame garage. So far so good. Folds up nicely for storage too.
