SpeedoWomen's Essential Endurance+ Legsuit Swimming Costume

I bought this swimsuit for regular swimming. It Has lasted well and is a good fit. I like the boy shape as flattering for bigger thighs. Would definitely buy again.

Firstly, can I say that I read MANY reviews regarding this swimsuit and I was in two minds as to whether to go ahead and order it - or not! Well I did order it and many of the reviews are correct!!I am 5ft 8inches tall and a standard UK size 14. I ordered this swimsuit in a size 36 and it fits perfectly. BUT -1. The material is definitely not what you would expect from a Speedo costume. I have had 3 Speedo costumes in my lifetime,( only renewed every time due to my body change or change in fashion) but this material is DIFFERENT! It almost feels as if it is a fake copy but it definitely has all the logo's/ labels for a true Speedo suit. Personally I think Speedo costumes do last - they go the distance, so not too sure that I can say the same for this new suit. Only time will tell.2. The hole at the back is weird. Feels too low and too big and YES it did give me a weird 'back-boob' thing, but you get used to it.3. Although it does have a lining that was just for the breast area ( wouldn't say this was for support!), it wasn't lined anywhere else. Felt it could have been fully lined at the front. Therefore, you do feel like you are just wearing a material 'skin' - it shows EVERYTHING!!!4. Leg length is good but yes, it does ride up as you swim. So you do end up doing a lot of 'pulling down', which sort of defeats the object of buying a swimsuit like this.But that said, I do like this swimsuit. I hope this review doesn't put you of buying it because it is a Speedo, and I do think they are very good. I don't regret buying this swimsuit and will be very interested to see if the material will stand the test of time.

Speedo costumes have definitely got smaller over the years! I am fed up with them getting increasingly tighter across the shoulders, chest, body and legs.Taking advice from fellow reviewers, this normal size 10 swimmer opted for a size 14. I know that endurance fabric, whilst it lasts and is not unduly impacted by chlorine, is also less generous in terms of stretch. This is my modesty costume. Indeed, it covers all areas well and comfortably with a bit to spare. This size 14 does not cling and is a generous fit on all areas. The chest area has the benefit of an extra piece of very lightly supportive fabric. The legs do ride up a little and I do question if I could have got away with a size 12. Not sure.However, this costume is ideal for teaching both in and out of the water and is as non-revealing as a swim costume can be. I did not choose this for swim training or beachwear but for coaching and teaching.

This is my third Speedo suit, and I have been impressed with the quality of them all. The last legsuit was a Kickback and had a higher back than this one, but the material was more shiny and seems a little thinner. This suit has the slightly thicker rougher material which seems to last longer. The fit is perfect for me at 5.5ft, unlike the Slazengers, which are always too short in the body.All my swim suits get a lot of use with 3 x weekly vigorous aqua classes and 800m length swims, so enevitably they all get the "thinning" on the stress areas. I have notcied with Speedo suits this doesn't happen so quickly, and doesn't go quite so see-through.I am very impressed with the quality of Speedo, and will always buy these suits now.

This didn't end up fitting me very well, or rather, it looks rather awful. The material is very thin: most of the suit is unlined, except for the bra area, which has the effect that every crease or pimple on your skin shows through. The seams also seem to be in the wrong places. All in all, while I was not looking for a particularly flattering swim suit, this is just too bad even for my taste. I ended up buying another (cheaper) brand, with full lining, which is so much better and more comfortable as well.

This is a great costume. I have bought it before, about 2-3 years ago, and the old one is still wearable - I rinse it after every swim, don't put it in the machine, and dry it at room temp, and it still hasn't stretched or faded, or split along the stitching. It has very good under-breast support, compared to other costumes. The only downside is that it is possibly slightly short in the body - or maybe I'm long! - but ideally, I could do with it being a cm or so longer. I have lost weight, so I needed another, and was pleased to find the same costume is still available. It arrived very promptly and after several swims, it seems as good as the one it is replacing.

I like this swimsuit as it's got good coverage. I bought two sizes bigger and it fits fine. I always find swimsuits too small, hence buying a bigger size!

Arrived very quickly, ordered a size 18, as I have curvy proportions and I'm in the dreaded process of trying to do some swimming and exercise to shed a few pounds! The costume being black hides a multitude of sins and fits well. As I've yet to try it out in the pool I cannot say how it performs under water, but the material looks and feels of good sturdy quality and the fitting seems to be pretty supportive up top, so hopefully will hold it all in when I'm swimming. Will give an update on performance once the cossie has been tried and tested a few times.
