Great travel mug which keeps beverages hot a long time!
I purchased my first Contigo Snapseal Travel Mug in April 6, 2017, used it everyday and would have used it for many more years if... I wouldn't lost it early 2020. So I went back to Amazon and purchased a replacement in Grayed Jade. I'm as satisfied with my first purchase. The review below is the same one I gave for my first one, in Gunmetal. This travel mug really keeps things hot for hours and hours. It's simply amazing. Actually, I have to wait 10-15 minutes with the cap fully opened to not burn myself with coffee. I don't drink cold beverages, so I can't input on that. But it's great to keep your coffee or tea hot all day. It's totally leak proof if closed properly. The mug doesn't sweat and doesn't get hot on the outside. The snapseal was very hard to open at first; for me it was a two hands job. But after a couple of days the snapseal started to open more easy. But still, personally I need two hands to open this. It's quite big for my little woman hands (see picture), so I never fill it with coffee. The look is nice and clean, rubberized section had a good grip, finishes are good quality. Fits my Mazda 3 car cup holder. For washing I recommend having a bottle brush, to better clean the interior. The cap can be washed in the dishwasher, but I am hand washing with the mug most times.

Great quality keeps beverages hot as long as you don’t drop it, the plastic top will break!

Does the job well
I use this for my morning coffee. It holds approximately 3 1/2 cups of coffee. Keeps my coffee hot for about 3 hours and warm for another hour afterward. I like the way the lid is designed. It's leakproof as long as it's on correctly.

So far, so good but not really a travel mug!
I've had issues with every one of these mugs that I've had. They absolutely keep my coffee very hot, for most of my work shift. But they are lousy as travel mugs, since every one I've had has eventually started to leak while in my backpack. I've always super-heated my coffee before pouring it into the mug because I wanted to make sure that it would stay hot as long as possible. But I found out that, if the coffee is too hot when you pour it into the cup, the gasket would eventually blow due to the buildup of steam inside the mug. Then it's pretty much impossible to get the popped gasket back in place correctly to continue using the mug. So I had to have my coffee at a lower temperature which kind of defeated the purpose, I thought. The other thing is that, at least once, the top popped open due to some inadvertent jostling while in my backpack while taking public transportation to work. I did eventually see somewhere in the write up on the Amazon product page that the mug should not be carried in such a way, in a sense unattended. So what I've done with this last particular mug is to keep it at work. I then bought a thermos with a screw-on top that is absolutely safe in my backpack, and gets my coffee to work with me as hot as I want it. Then, I pour it into my new Contigo mug to enjoy hot coffee all day!

No Spills or Leaks, Keeps Beverages Hot
This is the third one of these I've bought (lost the first two, sadly). Inexpensive, and it's the best mug for no spills or leaks I've used. If I want I can throw it in my bag with no attempt to keep it upright or stationary, ride my bike five miles to work and not a drop leaks or spills. It doesn't quite meet the 7 hours keeping the beverage hot claimed in the description if you are actually drinking from it (maybe if you fill it and leave it shut), but easily kept my coffee good and warm for 3+ hours while slowly sipping on it. And really, how long does it take to finish one large cup of coffee?Very durable and easy to clean. It's easy to open and shut the opening while holding the mug with one hand, and the tight seal on the opening prevents leaking and also keeps the beverage hot longer. The design of the opening makes it slightly difficult for me to take a bigger sip of a very hot beverage because I can't slurp without burning my lip. All in all though, it's the best leak and spill proof mug I've used, very durable and really a great value at an inexpensive price.

Best to-go coffee cup I've ever purchased by a mile.
Edit: Came back to counter some of the 1-star reviews I saw when I ordered and extra mug (we lost a couple). The bad reviews all center on the lids. Here is a quick primer on the lids: DON'T PUT THEM IN THE DISHWASHER. After many years of owning ten of these mugs, we had one seal go bad, and that was from PUTTING IT IN THE DISHWASHER. Since I began handwashing these cups, not a single lid has gone bad. I'll agree that the company should make replacement O-rings available, but whatever. That's a very minor complaint. Otherwise, these cups are . . . well, lemme just return you to your regularly scheduled review:I love these. Any hot beverage you put in it in the morning is still at least warm by the end of the day, and the liquid stays actually hot for an very, very long time. Hours. It doesn't leak, and the ones I purchased have lasted well. It's been a few months now, and we have been putting them on the top rack of the dishwasher. Sometimes I have to add a little hand washing because they are so tall and thin that the dishwasher spray doesn't completely clean them out. The color coating on the outside is flaking, I suspect from dishwasher cleaning, but we really don't care about that. What I do care about is keeping my coffee hot, and that it does like a champ. By far the best coffee mug I've ever used. Some days I'll stick the last of the coffee from the maker in one of these and leave it on the counter. If I want a cup of coffee in the evening, it's still nice and warm, so no need to make a new pot for just one cup of coffee.
