Expensive, but Top Quality
As expected, top quality. A little on the expensive end but to be expected from this brand.Having said that, if there was a steel knock-off available in this configuration, I would have gladly saved some bucks.

Worked great to mount a front site on my DPMS LR308.
Before I lost all my guns in an unfortunate boating incident, I ordered this so I could put a front iron site on my DPMS AR-10. It worked great, was sturdy and installed easily. I put the higher quality magpul back up iron up front, so it wouldn't melt. Dang shame they're all at the bottom of the lake. Y'know. In case anyone comes to my house looking for it.

It fit my lower gas block great. No additional work needed.
Bought for my DPMS Panther Oracle with lower gas block. Front rail is on the gas block and it is lower elevation than the rear rail for rear sight. I haven't sighed it in but it looks close. A .223 bore laser is in transit so I can roughly line up the sights. I'm confident this will allow me to use my old magpul flip up iron sights on this rifle.

Not for use with Magpul MBUS Gen2
I purchased this item to place on the gas block of my DPMS Oracle so that it would elevate my front sight properly. However due to the design of the site it will not mount correctly unless modified. It will hold the site however it looks funny because the site overhangs when placed in the single channel. So a second channel will have to be cut. Once I searched additional information I found this to be true for multiple users. So I should have done more research prior to purchasing.

Would buy 100x over. Just works!
Worked perfect. Mine was single slotted as shown, perfect for MBUS Pro style sights as they lay down back onto the non-slotted section. Grabs the gas block hard and hasn't moved a wink after a handful of firing session. As always I recommend you periodically checking the play on the piece. I was able to really crank down on the mounting screw and don't have any worries about slippage or loss of teeth. Used on Eagle Arms (Armalite factory) AR. Mounting tab hangs slightly forward of gas block but if anything it gives me another inch of sight radius and room for the flip up to lay down and not rub foregrip.

A quality product from a reputable company
Put this on my RRA Predator Pursuit. A little filing and a little dremel action to make it accommodate my hand guard and I was in business. I don’t understand other reviews where individuals complained “it didn’t fit”. Imagine that. Ordinance not designed or built by the company you buy an aftermarket part for and you have to modify it to suit your specific needs. Isn’t that why we do this? Isn’t that half the fun? Save the cookie cutter options for builds without a soul. That’s just my opinion.

Good matchup for my DPMS gas block rail and MBUS PRO front sight
Used this riser to bring the MBUS PRO gas block front sight up to near level for my DPMS AR-15. Some say that these are 1/4" risers but my measurements show that they are actually 5/16". This is not a major issue since I was able to adjust the MBUS elevation to where it needed to be.The only thing I did not like about this riser is that for the MBUS PRO to fit properly it needs a second top slot for the sight mounting screw. It will work as is, but the sight is shifted forward and actually hangs over the end of the riser. I ended up cutting a second slot using a dremel and set of files to cut the slot to fit. Now it is a perfect fit and very stable mount.

It's OK?
OK. After being on the fence about ordering this for a long time, I decided to give it a try. Here is my opinion of it, at least my opinion of it in use on a DPMS.The fit and finish is good. I received one that had three slots cut into the top of the rail, not just one. That's a plus. But, when attached to the gas block on a DPMS Oracle or Sportical, it isn't actually level with the upper rail height. It is close, and I was able to adjust my sights to compensate for almost all of it, but it was a trial and error situation.Next, the thing just looks cumbersome on a rifle. Yes, ultimately it doesn't matter what it looks like, but it really looks haphazard. This is mostly due to the way it sits/attaches on the gas block. It can be attached either forward or reverse, but the way it locks in to the existing rail is what limits what you can do with it, mounting-wise. Kind of a poor design, IMHO.Like is said, it works. Mostly. But overall, I'd say this is WAY overpriced, and I'll probably just wind up getting a different gas block in the end.
