Secret of the Spirit

This is the third in the series of Sidi Muhammad's live teachings from the U.S., and in some ways I feel it is the best. The spiritual energy of this book is phenomenal--very beautiful and full of Divine Light. Overall, it is less geared toward beginners in the Sufi path, but it does contain two stellar teachings for beginners on Sufism and true healing.When compiling this book Sidi Muhammad requested that the beginning chapters include the 'ayah of Light from the Qur'an ("God is the Light of the heavens and the earth..." Quran 24:35) and several chapters from one of his earlier books, "The Path to Allah, Most High". These chapters describe the creation of 'dam, which in the process helps us to understand our own potential to perfect ourselves. This sets the stage for the summer's teachings, which included:~ In-depth teachings on the stations of the lower self and commentary on chapters from Sidi's book "He Who Knows Himself Knows His Lord."~ Sidi's original lectures on new healing methods designed to help us care for ourselves and others in the divine, holy way. One of these is a special tawba (repentance) practice and another is a practice that has the potential to purify the body, heart, soul, spirit and intellect of the sincere seeker.~ According to one longtime student, this book contains Sidi's best teaching on R'bi'a al-'Adawiyya, one of the first Sufi saints, the queen of Divine Love.~ More teachings during the month of Ramadan than ever before'-this was the first year Sidi Muhammad was in the U.S. for the entire month and led the 10-day Ramadan Retreat at the end of the month.I highly recommend this book for all sincere spiritual seekers.
