Linda Chapman Star Friends Series 7 Books Collection Set (Mirror Magic, Wish Trap, Poison Potion, Secret Spell, Dark Tricks, Night Shade) (Children Books, Age 7 to 10, Early Reader)

My 8 year old daughter loved these books. This series is from a British edition. I bought book 2 at Target and because my daughter loved them so much, I wanted to buy the other ones. My daughter noticed that the characters have different names, but it doesn't bother her.

What isn’t clear before purchasing is that this 7 book set is clearly for the UK market and isn’t consistent with the US market. My daughter loved the first two that we bought at Target so I figured that I would purchase the entire set since it doesn’t appear that the other 5 are available yet. Just a quick comparison of the first book, the US version we bought at Target the characters are Violet, Lexi, Hannah, and Alyssa, while in this set theyre named Ionie, Lottie, Harriet, and Elissa. In addition mom is mum and 5th grade is called Year Six class. And I’m sure favorite would be spelled favourite and other similar differences in words.The stories themselves seem to be the same just outside of the slight differences as outline above.I wish I would’ve known that before ordering, not a dealbreaker but obviously books 3-7 won’t be consistent with the ones we bought at Target. But it was either this or wait until the US versions are released over the upcoming months.

Sooo glad we were able to find the (nearly) complete series! It is missing the 7th book, Moonlight Mischief, but that can be ordered separately.NOTE TO US BUYERS - This is the UK version of the books. The US publisher is Americanizing the names and places and HAS NOT RELEASED THE ENTIRE SERIES (and won’t until 2023). Many of the locations and names are different here than those sold at Target and the grammar/spellings are European (eg colour vs color).

we had to return... the character names are different from the American versions, and many of the words were too unfamiliar for my daughter. going to just purchase them one by one to make sure we get the right versions. For folks across the pond, I'm sure this is a great deal! Wonderful books!

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas and she is only now reading the books and loves them. However the pages are falling out in almost all of the series. just reading them, she takes good care of her stuff. It is really disappointing and of course now I cannot return them anymore.

My 6 year old loves the Star Friend series! We got the first two books in the series at Target and then I saw this seven series package here on Amazon and ordered it immediately. Upon picking up the series on the third book, I realized that these must be an earlier version bc the names are different and the grammar has clearly not been edited. The story line is there but it's a "clunky" read and not the experience I want. This is going back.

Missing book 7. Has book 8 instead. Thought this was the whole collection but its not.

Well we did get the hole book series and they are in good condition. Unfortunately the characters names are different in this collection, then the one's we had already purchased from Walmart.

Very interesting, easy to read one after another. Can’t wait for the next series. Perfect buy for a little bookworm 😉

The characters are very likeable. The stories are very sweet.
