Five Stars!!!
I am an avid reader and really enjoy adventure novels. The book was recommended to me by a friend. So, I decided to read it. I couldn't put it down. It was fast paced, took place during a very romantic time in Britain's history and taught me history that I was not aware of. I hope that the author decides to write a sequel. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes a good read while being educated, as well. Five stars!

Great Action and Adventure
This excellent novel is a real pager-turner from start to finish. Great character development with lots of action and adventure make this a must-read for those like me who enjoy this type of story. I couldn't put it down once I started reading it. The novel is inspired by true events, and is extremely well-researched.

Feels like you're really there - sights, sounds and seems like one can even taste the food.
A good read for a variety of reasons. Leads one into another world where the characters come alive. An excellent story that doubles as a fascinating, accurate and highly researched history lesson. Makes one want more and gets you googling about so many topics of interest described in the book. Highly recommend.

Lovers of history and adventure...this is it!
What a wonderful story, well written. I learned more about the Crimean War and the Sepoy Mutiny in India from this novel than I ever did from history professors in school--and I went to school in England. The Devil's Wind would make a great motion picture.

A great story from start to finish! The author weaves history in and around the character, givingyou the feeling you are standing right beside him as he lives his life, I can't wait for the sequel.
