This tape dispenser is expensive, but it is worth it. To me, it looks better than it does in the photo. the sleek lines captures that modern look and feel. It's heavy and has a pad under it to hold it put while pulling out a piece of tape. I was looking for a sexy, easy and functional tape dispenser for my desk. This one does the job very well.

I purchased this tape dispenser as a Valentines Day gift for my wife. She doesn't do jewelry. So, I have to be creative. Since she spends a lot of time at work, I decided she should have something more than standard office supplies; as they are pretty lame. Well, I made the right choice going with the ArtsOnDesk Modern Art Tape Dispenser. In fact, I was so impressed with the thing, I ended up ordering 7 more items from AOD and giving her the entire set. They're not cheap. But they are fantastic. She likes the unified look they bring to her workspace. And the fact that they do their job. These things will last forever. They are solid. At the same time, they look elegant.

Nothing really to add to the other reviews. This is a study, well made tape dispenser that is pleasing to look at. I did not tell anyone I bought an $80 tape dispenser--but really--I like it-- so it should not be a concern to anyone else what I paid for it. I was thinking that I was a bit crazy for spending that much for what it is--but then I figured it is a tool that I use regularly-so how is it different than a drill or a knife. I am sure I will have it the rest of my working years--and then I can just use it at home -- it is even nice enough to sit out somewhere instead of getting buried in a drawer.

I love this tape dispenser because it is exactly what one should be ! Better than the old school teacher ones I was trying in vain to find, this one is just right and functional the way only the really well designed ones should be! I am frustrated by the look a like teacher ones that are light weight and cheapy plastic ! Get this one! and you will be glad to have it ! Great design, product worth every penny!

I love it for the design. It is not as heavy as I had hoped. I wanted to stick magnets on it in hopes to increase its weight, but no magnets of any strength stick to this. Is it worth the price? Heck no.

SUPER NICE BUT VERY EXPENSIVE

I spent an outrageous amount of money for this tape dispenser but it replaced a generic one that was being held together with silver duct tape when the bottom started to give way. I love good design and this is an item I'll be looking at and using for years. In that sense, perhaps it's not so expensive. It's a beautiful minimal design. It's easy to use and easy to see how much tape is left. It maybe slightly lighter than a standard utilitarian tape dispenser but not greatly so. I'm enjoying it.

Scoured the Internet for something more interesting than the tried and true Scotch plastic dispenser and there were surprisingly few items that were both stylish and functional for real use. I'm very happy with this product. It's very solid and heavy so it stays planted with no wobble when using it one handed. A standard tape roll fits it fine. Tape tears easily and does not roll back up on the tape roll. Great product. Only downside is the high price on it but I can't propose anything else that seems to come close.
