all my hats are white. i see rust on customer photos. will rust from this product stain hats?

I have purchased 4 of these for my husband's white golf hats and have never experienced any rust marks in over 5 years of using them. These hat racks are made of white coated material. Have no idea where "rust" marks would come from. Highly recommend these to everyone!!

My question is.. Can you wash your hats & then place them in the 'cage' to dry? ..thank you

I don't see why not but it won't protect them from becoming misshapen in the wash if you do it that way.

Can i use in top load washing machine that has an agitator?

I have a front load washing machine so I don’t have any personal knowledge, but I was told that you can use the top load machine with the agitator as long as you are only washing the ball caps. Hope this was helpful.

Has anyone used these to keep the crowns of their hats in shape while storing them on a shelf?

I haven't used them to store hats but I think they would work just fine. However if you use them to wash your hat they come apart and your hat does not survive.
