So far it works great as intended. It's not easy to use given the number of pieces but actually using it once you found the eight adapter is easy really. You gotta have 1 of these for several vehicles as the usual way of using a c clamp wont work due to design or workspace size. Working on a VW I could've bypassed using on the front but it's a MUST for the rear although once you have the right adapter plate it makes compressing the pistons MUCH faster

Took a while to figure out which parts were needed to make it work but, when I figured it out it worked very well. I believe it can be used for most brake calipers but, not all.

There are several of these to choose from on Amazon and this one has both the LH and RH threaded rods. Don't need both right now but good to have in the kit for future needs. This kit also came with caliper hangers which have come in handy. The gloves ... well I threw them out I have all the gloves I need. I will update my reveiw if anything fails.You really can't beat the price - yes you can borrow them for free from auto part stores but that is just a hassel for what you can buy this kit for and just have on hand.

As a DIY mechanic, I do several brake jobs a year for the family, and this tool works on the VW, BMW, ect where the parking brake is built into the rear caliper. It is also good for just resetting stock calipers as well. So for the price, and what I use it for, it works well.

Used this kit on the rear calipers of a Ford something or other, can't remember at the moment. I had to push and turn the caliper at the same time and this kit did the job.

Used this kit to replace the brakes on my 2014 escape and my 2016 F-150. Tool was easy to use and made the job a lot easier
