Secrets of the Vine Bible Study

Bought a used one with some highlights & scribbles on a few pages but it works for me. Use it for a women’s group bible study - to grow in wisdom & knowledge of God’s Word & to learn to apply it in life situations to have a closer walk with our Lord & sweet fellowship with other women of the same faith.

My Pastor is doing a series about John 15 and I decided to study it at home too. I had to go back and buy the book because it asks you to read certain chapters of the book. So you probably could just do scripture and this book but you may not get all you want out of it that way. Truly is a good study.

I’m only on day 4 of this bible study but so far I am loving it. I have a NLT so it doesn’t go perfectly along with it but I’m still able to follow.

This was a companion book to the book "Secrets of the Vine". If you have never read that book, it is a must. To understand exactly what Jesus meant when He said that He is the vine, we are the branches, and His Father is the Vinedresser. Our terminology is different so we don't always understand what He is saying, and if you have never been around or seen an olive bush, or tree, whatever it is, you might not understand the full meaning of His Words.

I wanted to do a short study on the life of Jesus, and this book has answered my desires.Jesus Words to His disciples just before He is going to depart from this world, are of most consideration from anyone who is seeking truth and more truth!

I was a little disappointed in this approach since it seemed to focus on doing and keeping count of your spiritual fruit and activity. I actually didn't finish the book because it seemed to emphasize the notion of human control , counting the baskets of "fruit" and the importance of getting out there and doing more than being. it has good biblical references, etc. but I felt that as with many follow up publications, it fell short of the original secrets of the vine. maybe this is supposed to be a "how to " book , but could tap into a "type A Christianity" that might not be desirable.

What does it mean when I hurt? This little book explains the difference between the process of discipline and pruning. As it hurts just as much either way, how can I know the difference? It shows how God is determined that our lives will show fruit, not just a little, but lots! It comforts us to know that we are his children if he is going to the trouble of either process.

This one little book is a part of the whole thing of growing. all part of the adventure. Its is Gods word taken from John 15.God is the vine and for Christians to be more fruitful we need to become better branches.

Book arrived on time and in excellent condition. It is proving to be very helpful in our house group and good to use as a study guide
