Rosa Bonheur - The Horse Fair, 1855 - Fine Art Custom Giclee Print - Print Only - 24 x 36 inches

This was supposed to be a gift to replace my mom's old print that had an accident. While the white horses in the center of the new print look great, the rest of the print does not have the same level of detail. These pictures compare the two.On the top, Mom's print. You can see the brown horse's tail. I can't capture it here, but you can even see some brushstrokes.Bottom, the new print. Same area is a dark blob.New print, rider's face blurry.Mom's print on bottom (sadly torn), features are clearer.I contacted the seller to ask if mine is defective or if they are all like this. Paul's interest and concern were greatly appreciated and made us feel much better. Apparently, this is just how the scans of the Horse Fair look nowadays, so I'm not sure what to do about Mom's. I would certainly buy form this seller again.

My mother has had an old black and white piece of this print in a frame for as long as I can remember. One day she asked me to find a replacement print of the painting. So, I did. The print looks great. Arrived safety in a cardboard shipping tube. I am very pleased. I would note that the description states that it is "16 x 24 inches" but, that is not quite accurate. The print is on a 16 x 24 inch piece of white paper canvas but, the print itself is smaller. It would have been helpful to state the size of the print. I am actually happy that the print turned out to be a little smaller.

Beautiful, vibrant color, crisp image of the original, and the format size excellent. Fast shipping, good price, arrived in perfect condition. I've been looking for a good copy of this print for a while, and was happy to have found this offering.
