This is ideal for a small project. I bought it to run a water pump in a small fountain. The panel and accessories are good quality. I ran it for a few weeks, and I noticed that after dark, the waterfall attracted some undesirable wildlife.I removed the battery and replaced the controller with an inexpensive buck converter. Now the waterfall runs during the day and shuts down when the sun goes down. If you watch my video you can see the reflection of a tree branch blocking most of the panel,but the pump still runs at about half-speed. Once the morning sun clears the tree, the fountain runs full force for most of the day. The birds and I are happy.

I installed this on the roof of my Case Backhoe because my alternator stopped working. Since I am an infrequent backhoe operator this should have kept the battery charged and ready for my next use. For the 1st week or so, I thought it was working, but for the past few weeks, even after sitting idle in the sun for 6-10 days, the battery was below 50% charge. I disconnect the battery cables when it is going to be idle more than a few days and I keep this solar charger attached to the battery, but the battery is not charging. Not real impressed, but past the Amazon return window!

The little 5A charge controller is junk. I threw it away today, after last night's rain storm. Panel is good.

Within half a days charge, cloudy or not, it puts enough power in my 12v battery to charge all my small devices such as my phone, Bluetooth speakers, cordless drill battery, etc. I have no problems so far and the price was reasonable $40.

Got this for dad who wanted it for charging his trolling motor batteries. You need a controller so it doesn't overcharge and this kit has one. Now he doesn't have to lug 12-volt batteries around. He just puts this on the dock and when he's back from fishing, hooks his battery back up to it and done. It's charged for the next time he goes.
