Great tool for Book Nook folks
If you are into the Book Nook hobby/ craft, you will understand why I like using a 17a chisel… I not confident I can finger push out a laser cut piece from a wooden board. I’ve broken pieces, or suffered through badly splintered edges. I use the #17a blade instead of the #11 blade to separate wooden laser cut pieces from miniature models like book nooks. I insert the chisel at the joint the laser cut leaves behind and push down to free up that section. It cuts clean with very little bur or nib left on the piece which is sanded off, if you like edge sanding. It slower going this route because you need to carefully line up the chisel edge to the cut made by the laser. On thicker boards I start on the back side cutting part way through then flip the board over and finish cutting (pressing down on the handle of the blade) from the front.

The package came in good condition when it arrived at my house
The package came in good condition when it arrived at my house. When I opened the package of blades, I noticed that the blades were oily and were kind of rusty. However, the oil can be easily wiped off with a paper towel and the rust could be ignored since it was on the mid-section of the blade, not the sharp edge itself. Besides that, the blades were sharp and greatly helped me chisel wood.

I use these for models.
I use these blades to remove nub marks and cut dymo tape for my models. They have worked great so far. They fit into any standard xacto hobby knife and help give you a precise cut. Only one side is shaved down so that you will get a more precise cut. *Do not touch the blades with your bare hands. The oil from your fingers will start to rust them, and at this price I would like to get the most out of each blade that I can.
