JVC KSBTA100 Add-On Bluetooth Adapter

This is money well spent. If your JCV radio is KSBTA100 ready, you are making a mistake in not getting it. I have to admit it took a bit of time to understand the installation process as the KSBTA100 asks that one refer to the radio instructions to install. This was not good since I had purchased my JVC radio the previous year and the instructions were non existent. Fortunately I was able to locate the instructions on the JVC website. I installed mine on a 1999 landcruiser. Thanks to the generous length of wire, I was able to place the control on the visor. After wiring it according to the instructions, I turned it on and connected my Iphone and was delighted at how well it worked during a phone call.. Other nice surprises came up when I used google maps on my iphone. During automated directions, the radio automatically lowered the music volume and then resumed after the automated voice gave directions. This bluetooth adapter is a must have for your JVC bluetooth ready radio. Go for it, you won't be disappointed.

This works but wiring directions are a joke. Directions on my receiver and this adapter are incidental and wrong. Wire colors are not the same. Well there was a blue/white on both, and the black I could just ground to the chassis, but have no idea what to connect the brown wire to. And yes it is a JVC player that is compatible with this adapter.

Works very well, easy to install and hook up. Instructions could have been a little clearer but it was basically just plug - in and hook up a power and ground wire.

I only really have one complaint about the functionality on this device, and that's how bad it is at handling two different cell phones. Instead of being able to set some kind of pairing order to prioritize one phone over another, it just goes by who was connected last, which can lead to some confusion when you're in a shared vehicle. Aside from that, it works quite well. The audio is as clear as it is coming through the aux input jack, and the voice dialing works well. One side note about the install is that you have a bit of splicing and soldering to do when installing it. If you've installed the head unit yourself, you're already familiar with this process, but you'd think that with their own proprietary unit that only works with their head units, they could just put a plug on the damn thing and be done with it. However, it isn't that much trouble, and we already need to be practicing our solder joints anyways.

Music plays phone calls wont. Go figure. I'd like to exchange it for another because I think I would have liked it.

I added this to an existing JVC head unit.It installed very easily.Very simple to use.People say they hear me loud and clear.Wiring the adapter was easy as the directions are clear.Pairing to my Iphone 6 was very simple. Music via Bluetooth sounds good , and using my cell for navigation is nice to hear through the car speakers.Well worth the money.

Hi, I am not the best person to make the connections at the rear of my JVC AVX-640, but it was easy to complete the job. The only thing i had to figure out was that to use a 3.5 adaptor to fit to "line in" at the rear of the unit, otherwise you would have to connect the 3.5 jack to the front of the head unit, which is not ideal.having said that after connecting it all up, it would not interact with the cars speakers,what you have to to do is activate to Bluetooth (BT) in the head unit, job done, Excellent piece of kit for the price.

La unica pega que le pongo al fabricante es que la instacion podria ser mas sencilla, tube que buscarme un poco la vida para saber como conectar los cables. Por lo demas si tienes una radio compatible es un buen producto

Ich habe mir den JVC KS-BTA100 gekauft ohne ein JVC Radio zu besitzen. Ich nutze den Adapter mit einem Sony CDX-GT33U. Die Installation ist mit ein wenig technischem Sachverstand einfach. Trotzdem hätte sich JVC den Aufdruck "einfache Installation" auf der Packung sparen können. Möchte man den Bluetooth Adapter mit einem Radio einer Fremdfirma verbinden, muss man sich nur bewusst sein, dass in meisten Fällen das automatische Umschalten auf den Aux-Eingang nicht funktioniert. Das braune Kabel bleibt aus diesem Grund auch bei der Installation ungenutzt. Mich stört es nicht weiter. Seit ich den Adapter habe, ist mein Radio fast nur noch auf Aux geschaltet. Verbunden habe ich den Bluetooth-Adapter mit einem Nokia N8. Mich überzeugt an dem Produkt die intuitive Bedienung, besonders die Musiktasten mag ich nach wenigen Tagen Benutzung nicht mehr missen. Beim Sound ist mir noch nichts Negatives aufgefallen, außer vielleicht der relativ hohe Ausgangspegel, der aber eventuell auch nur in Kombination mit einem Fremdhersteller-Radio auftritt. Zudem gibt es beim Sony-Radio die Möglichkeit den Eingangspegel mit einem extra Regler herunter zu Pegeln. Beim Telefonieren ist mir aufgefallen, dass die Unterschiede zwischen der Gesprächs- und der Musiklautstärke relativ groß sind. Dies ist aber wohl ein weiterer Punkt, welchen ich nicht dem Adapter zuschustern kann. Daher mein Fazit, volle 5 Sterne. Wenn man weiß, auf welche Installationshürden man sich einrichten muss, erhält man einen optisch ansprechenden und qualitativ hochwertigen Bluetoothadapter. Mein Hauptargument ist vor und nach dem Kauf, dass sämtliche Kabel hinter der Verkleidung verschwinden und der Zigarettenanzünder für andere elektronische Spielzeuge frei bleibt.

Collegato alla radio JVC che ho nella macchina di mia moglie. Con l'iPhone è una piovra, una volta agganciato non lo molla più. Buona qualità audio. Microfono probabilmente migliorabile. Nel complesso va benissimo per non schiantarsi contro un palo o una macchina. Superconsigliato.
