Rhode Island Novelty 21 Inch Rubber Chicken [Toy]

At christmas, we played games. I wrapped a box with this chicken inside about 12 times with lots of tape. The gift was passed around and each person had the chance to tear the paper off while wearing gloves. The person who opened the gift and held the gift up in the air was the winner. My youngest son won the chicken and said it was the most unwanted gift he had ever gotten! We all had a big laugh over the chicken! Thanks for helping me make family memories!

It appears that for a second year in a row, Amazon has sent me the wrong rubber chicken. I decided to purchase the chicken pictured above since it was the one I was mistakenly sent last year. I found the poor quality of the chicken pictured to be far more hilarious than if it were a plain rubber chicken. Oh, the irony of ordering one thing and getting another, only to order that which was a mistake and receive something different.The one's skin I received is a bit thinner than the one pictured and the paint is poorly done. There is also a circular piece of its chest that was added on later; probably where they set the body while creating it.I think given the fact that this wasn't pieced together at the neck like the one pictured makes it of better quality. Plus, it's a rubber chicken - The worse off the chicken is, the funnier the gag is. Not to mention this is just going to wind up being a dog toy for, like, a half a day before being devoured.

It was a great prize for a game at our party. It would be better if it squeaked but still cute. I like how big it is too. When I got it it was folded in half so it took a little while of being laid out flat to regain it's shape.

Great Chicken for the price, doesn’t squeal , but you know, it’s a cheap rubber chicken.I just bought two of them so I can watch my nieces attack each other with them.

Giving 5 stars because hey, how much can you really expect from a rubber chicken? It meets the needs of any serious rubber chicken enthusiast. Overall texture and rigidity tend more toward plastic than rubber, but this seems to be the standard for 21st century rubber chickens. There is no "squeaker" in this model, but any discriminating chicken user will realize those things are adulterations not meant for use outside of pet toys.

The rubber is definitely a harder rubber. Not hard, but I also wouldn't consider it "soft rubber" as the description implies.Mine had the visible line between head and body that others mentioned, though it did mostly return to its original shape when folded; it was just a bit "deflated" and flattened. Mre worrying to me was that the rubber in the lower part of one of the legs was really thin, as if it wasn't molded correctly/evenly.But it was $5 and serves its purpose.

Some comedian once said, when all else fails, try swinging a rubber chicken over your head. I work in a high tech QA department, so it seemed appropriate that I get a rubber chicken for each of my fellow QA testers. Now, when something just doesn't work as intended, we all start swinging our rubber chickens. It doesn't make whatever it is work as intended, but who cares, we get to swing our rubber chickens!

The product description is pretty accurate. It came folded in 3rds and had a kink in the neck but over all in good shape. The material is a soft rubber one piece mold. Detail isn't bad for the price. A good novelty gift.
