A thing of beauty. The insert is very well made and appears solid and sturdy. The powder coating is extremely well done and it fits my 2.5” receiver perfectly and without rattle. It’s not the cheapest option on the market but the price is fair for a quality item made in the USA. I am always happy to pay a reasonable amount more to purchase items made in country’s that have quality standards for the customer and ethical standards for their employees and global economy. It comes with a non locking hitch pin which you should absolutely not use if you plan to leave the insert in when not being used. The pin is of decent quality and should work just fine to hold the hitch together safely. Just don’t forget to remove and lock it away when you aren’t actively using it or watching your truck. The free pin is a nice gesture but if you spend 100 bucks on a hitch insert you should put a locking pin in it. I’ve seen thieves cruising around hardware and department store parking lots snatching hitches off trucks when the driver didn’t bother to invest $15 on a lock for their $200 hitch. I would suggest the company not send those and drop the price a few bucks or just invest it in the company or community. I absolutely recommend this product.

Very high quality and attention to detail. Fits snuggly in reciever and doesn't protrude out to far like other manufacturers. Highly recommend!

Surprisingly light weight.

Pros: good powdercoat finish, shackle to block fitment is great, block has shackle stops to prevent shackle from hitting hitch or bumper, 19k block and 13k 7/8" shackle rating, looks good in any color, lightweight block, horizontal and vertical mounting options, radiused edges for easy hitch pin and shackle pin installs, smooth edges should accept a soft shackle, freebie cheap hitch pin included, price point and value tough to beat when compared to other brands that cost alot more, USA made blockCons: block is slightly smaller than average when compared to an equalizer shank and B&W tow n stow which makes for a little more rattle and slop, pin hole is also looser than average, standard 13k 7/8" shackle included but would of liked to see something higher rated near the block rating of 19k like a CM super shackle which is rated to 17k, China made shackleOverall a great shackle block assembly for those with heavy duty trucks that need higher rated blocks than the 1/2 ton trucks. Lots of pros and only some minor cons. Would of liked to have a tighter block to hitch fit but it isn't critical. The assembly looks great and will be enough for most applications and is much cheaper than some competitors. Top it off with a CM Super shackle for another 4k in capacity for assurance.
