Beautiful book on true devotion to God's Mercy!
The spiritual journey of this simple childlike saint reminds us of how Jesus wants us to have childlike souls. Accepting sacrifice for the sake of his mercy and love. May God bless all those who read this work and honor the request of our Lord for this devotion to God's mercy.

Great companion to Sacred Scripture
Absolutely brilliant! This diary of Saint Maria Fuastina Kowalska is a masterpiece in literature; not for the sake of the writing, but the content. She was told by her confessor to write a diary of everything that was happening in her life, even speaking with Jesus and His blessed mother. She was ill for most of the time she wrote and didn't want to write, but she obeyed her superiors and kept this diary of her thoughts and conversations she had with our Lord and Savior. Jesus appeared to her many times and on one occasion, told her to have a portrait painted just as He appeared to her and have the words "Jesus, I trust in you" engraved at the bottom. Jesus commanded Sister Faustina to spread the devotion to His divine mercy; even reciting to her the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for her and to have it known throughout the world. Jesus is mercy and love. This diary is all about His divine mercy and love for souls. Many promises were made by our Lord to those who say this chaplet and venerate His portrait. Each Catholic home should have this divine mercy portrait and pray the chaplet during the 3:00PM hour, which is the hour our Lord gave up His spirit to His father and is the hour of his divine mercy. This diary along with "The Imitation of Christ" are great companions to Sacred Scripture.

Sublime mysteries
There have been many books written about the spiritual journey, but Saint Faustina’s diary gives us the unique insight of one who was called to a participation in divine intimacy as saint and victim soul. The ultimate goal in our spiritual journey is union with God. St. Faustina’s words give us a glimpse of what that union, this side of heaven, looks like. That said, it should be noted that suffering is presented in this book as evidence of her love for Jesus. It would be easy to misunderstand the nature of her suffering as masochistic but that would be incorrect. Suffering for the sake of suffering is wrong, but suffering united to Jesus’ suffering on the cross is life giving. St. Faustina shows us suffering thus expressed is like the love of parents who undergo pain and depredation for the sake of their children. In her diary, St. Faustina reveals Gos’s greatest attribute: mercy. Mercy is Love in action.St. Faustina is a mystic of the modern age.

A window into Our Lord's love and unfathomable mercy for all
The diary introduced me to the concept of "the suffering soul", God's servant specifically tasked with taking on illness, hardships, and suffering as atonement and as an intercessor for countless souls worldwide who attained mercy and salvation through Sr. Faustina's prayers and supplications.

Life Changing
In this diary, Sister Faustina has become the dearest of friends in a simple and humble way that has revolutionized my spiritual life and my relationship with all I meet. Living Divine Mercy truly is God’s gift and call to these days in which we find ourselves.I read paragraphs, a couple at a time, in no reply order and I am touched every time.Jesus, I trust in You!

Love the book!!
I have learned so much about the love and mercy of God. It's like a love story between God and St. Faustina. The great thing about the book is that God spoke so often and plainly to St. Faustina. I come to know more in depth of what God want of us and give us. I have spoken to others who have read the book it did not have much of an impact on them. Which is sad. Through the merciful grace of God, I have grown closer to God from reading this book. I did not speed read through the book. I read a few pages at a time and meditated upon it. I'll be rereading this book again real soon.

Well worth reading.
If you are inspired to read about how the Divine Mercy Chaplet came to pass, or have stumbled upon her life's story, read Saint Faustina's Diary....Something amazing will speak to your heart and soul.......it is inexplicable, no matter what God you believe in or what you believe about why we are alive and where we will go after we draw our last mortal breath.Every human being wonders what life is all about and what our purpose is here in this journey we call life. Something Miraculous will touch you and make you strive to seek out the Truth and to know and understand, for yourself, Who is the real and the only Creator of the World.Something deep inside every human being's inner spirit yearns to know Who created our life, our world, and our universe; we yearn to know what is our purpose for living, and what this journey is all about. This book is a great spiritual and mystical read.

This is an excellent book. My only problem with it is that it is very repetitive. It took me a long time to get through it but I was determined to do so, and finally did. The thing I liked most about it was the message. We should all make every effort to spread the Divine Mercy chaplet; it is a very powerful prayer and greatly benefits all who are in any way connected to it, not just those who pray it, but those for whom they pray. She is truly a great saint.
