Fits 46RE, despite Amazon's fitment guide.
Pan is well cast, heavy, and milled perfectly flat at the mounting surface. Threads for drain plug were fine. I found the temp sensor threads a lil wonky and I had to clean them up with a tap. It leaked from the sensor port initially. After I cleaned the treads and added more thread tape to the sending unit it sealed up. I had no problem with the solenoid hitting the fins in the bottom of the pan. In fact, there's a gap in the inside fins where the solenoid is. The included gasket is cork. Initially, I went with the reusable Mopar gasket, but it didn't quite fit right with the shape of this pan. I ended up using the cork gasket. It seems to be holding. The hardware being included was nice, quality stuff. I used the smaller filter spacer, no issues.

Giant gouge, where’s the quality control??
Had to flatten the sealing surface, there was a giant gouge in the mating surface. NO DAMAGE ON THE BOX AT ALL. Looks like it shipped this way.Got it flat, installed and it sealed up. Would have returned but I had a time slot to do the transmission service and my life’s hectic... so needed to keep the plan if possible. There’s another review just like this, damaged gasket surface. B&M, are you paying attention? Up your QC.The pan itself is fine, exactly 2 extra quarts on my 2002 dodge 2500 diesel. 47re trans. Around 20’ cooler temps, but I haven’t towed heavy yet either. I’m sure it’ll be fine. I mostly changed to this from the stock pan for the drain plug.

This is not an increased fluid capacity for 2005 and up Dodge Ram
It does state that it is not an increased capacity in the description if you look closely. Should not come with the lowering block for this application, a big part of the price and not used.

Great pan, a little misleading.
I give this item 5stars because it is a very nice machined part. The description however is misleading. The pan does fit every transmission listed and doubles the fluid capacity on all but the 48RE. This pan is the same depth and capacity as the factory pan on the 48RE commonly found in Dodge 2500/3500 trucks with the Cummins diesel. If you wish to only add a drain plug and temperature sensor port and help some with heat disapation then this pan will do that but again, it will NOT increase fluid capacity on the 48RE.

Great pan.
Bought for my 96 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9L (46RE trans.) and it fit great even though Amazon said it would not fit my truck. Do your own research and go to B&M's web page to see all the transmissions this pan fits (which is quite a few). Pan fit great and I used a FelPro gasket because I did not trust the thin cork gasket it came with. No leaks at all and it looks and works great. Make sure to follow the Torque specs with the directions and you wont have any leaks. Also, it only added about 2 quarts extra fluid capacity compared to the stock pan. Normally with the old pan it took a little over 4 quarts and with the new pan it took 6 quarts (which is exactly what the directions from B&M said it would take). Only issue is 2 of the 14 bolts that come with the pan set are hex shaped. Apparently, some transmissions that this pan fits have a bracket that needs these longer bolts. No biggie, just go to the hardware store and buy two to match the rest or use the hex bolts if you don't care. Highly recommend but do your research.

Make sure you add the right amount of trans fluid.
I gave them 5 stars because the only flaw was the instructions and not the unit. After reading the instructions I added 4 guarts of fluid thinking that was enough because the instructs say 4 guarts. After servicing my truck with 4 standard guarts and adding additional 4 guarts it took 8 guarts of trans fluid. Instructions should say additional 4 guarts.

Not cheap but a nice, well-made product with temperature sensor bung and drain plug.
Nice heavy-duty, higher capacity pan with a bung for temperature sensor. Installed on a 2000 Dodge Durango 5.9L and it added ~2 quarts of capacity and is very sturdy. I wanted to add a temperature sensor/gauge and this pan has a threaded hole for the temperature sensor. Not cheap, but a nice, well-made product.

Very nice and well made trans pan product
Due to the extended pan, hangs lower than the undercarriage so standard speed bump and or dips are easy to pass through. If a speed bump is thicker the pan will touch unless you travel over at an angle. Took a couple extra quarts of oil but this is the hole point of better cooling. No leaks, fits trans case snugly. Shifts normally and drives smoothly. Very happy with this product.

DON'T buy for a Cummins mated 48RE
I bought this to use on my 2004 Dodge Cummins with a 48RE. The pan itself is the only usable part of the kit. It comes with a cork gasket which wasn't a great fit. It was cut short on one of the corners and would likely have started to leak as only about 1/3 of the gasket material would contact the pan and tranny around that corner. Get a proper gasket from a tranny shop. The filter can't be used for the diesel either, you must use the stock filter. Nor do you need the filter extension as this pan is just about the same depth as the stock pan on the Cummins mated 48RE. It is slightly deeper and took an extra 1.5 liters of ATF 4+. I know all this because I called B&M directly as I installed the kit. The pan itself is pretty good though. Wish I could have used the stock magnet but it obviously won't stick to an aluminum pan. It cost me an extra $60 for a proper fitting gasket and stock filter (could have found cheaper but the pan was already dropped at this point). Anyone need want my filter, extension and cork gasket??

Great B & M cast aluminum transmission pan
Great product, had a minor fitment issue installing this on a 98 ram 1500 4x4.Product wasn't specifically designed for my vehicle but made it work and am very pleased with quality.Amazon.ca came through again with fast shipping and of course the great service you can count on time and time again.Would recommend to any Dodge Ram owner looking to upgrade transmission pan.
