You get what you pay for
This is just "OK" I did have some trouble getting the gear to engage. I have to push the gear stop into the gear when pulling the boat up on the trailer. The spring is very weak.

The winch is low capacity, cheap but functional, if that is what you need it's a good buy.
It is a simple gear driven winch. one thing I changed was the position of the bolt that secures the strap. The bolt was positioned so that It caused a large hump in the strap when wound onto the drum. I moved it closer to the center of the drum to reduce the hump.

Great Value for Light Duty Tailers
Good for a light duty boat trailer. The locking lever for the handle is a little screwy but overall it will be perfect for my 12' boat, especially for the price.
