Very good first entry into a new series
The author spends approximately 2/3 of the book providing details--of the community, the protagonist's life, the lives of her coworkers, the lives of others who live in her community, and the beliefs of those in the community. These details are the foundation of Whisper Bound, a story about the community of Whisper--a small fictional town set in Northwest Washington State.Told in chapters of alternating points of view, the first earthquake sets the stage for the intrigue that runs through the book. The tension is (mostly) resolved in the last 1/3 of the novel, when additional details are provided, love interests explored, and a cliff hanger of sorts introduced.I look forward to the next installment of the Whisper series by Bonnie Elizabeth!

Loved it!
I was not able to put my Kindle down. I fell in love with the characters, especially the alien cat Zari and earth spirit Peter. Just enough mystery that i did not need my asthma inhaler with a touch of romance and lots of wooie wooie. I am ready for the next Whisper book.

an interesting tale.
I'm not a fan of this kind of novel but I had to read it.Earth spirits, talking cats, and earthquakes swallowing up people...a strange but compelling tail.I hope Bonnie continues to tell stories. Her mind is quick and full of adventure into fantasy.

Looking forward to more from this author!
I really enjoyed this novel. It's got action, suspense, romantic interest, and metaphysics all in one story. I know it's a fantasy, but the author made it all seem so real, I'm ready to put Whisper on my travel itinerary. And Meg isn't the only one with a crush on Peter! I can't wait for the sequel!

Whisper Bound is a book you must read.
This was an excellent book. It kept my interest from beginning to end. Once I started reading, I couldn't put the book down until I was finished. I am looking forward to the next book, and can't wait to find out what happens next with Meg and Peter, and what happens with the partnership of Rain and Meg. I highly recommend this book. The author tells the story so well and makes you feel as if you are there in the town of Whisper experiencing all that is transpiring. Wonderfully written.

Very Good First Novel
I enjoyed the characters and felt the town had a personality that will devlop along with them in future adventures. The pace is very good after Chapter 3. I enjoyed the magic, which I found reminiscent of the late Barbara Michaels. I am looking forward to more of this series

A thoroughly enjoyable read!
I really enjoyed this story. It is engaging. The characters are likable. The story has a nice steady pace. The plot is not overly complex. The book is a light, easy read. The author's values are quite strongly espoused. Nothing that might offend, but a nice new-age theme. I would have liked to have gotten more insight into Zari A's character. But there is room for additional story-telling here so perhaps we will get to know more in future. Bit of a love cliff-hanger at the end there that definitely needs more exploring...
