UnCommon Artistry Hypo-Allergenic Surgical Steel Earring Hooks Jewelry Making Findings (100) (Silver Plated)

I am incredibly pleased with this purchase. It arrived in about a week, which was today. I changed out a dozen sterling silver hooks with these. I am thrilled that they do not bother my ears at all. I recently decided I wanted to use 40 years of silver earrings again. I put the protective sleeves on but could not get them in my ear holes. I tried that polish that supposed to keep away ear irritation. That did not work for me. These surgical steel earring hooks are truly hypo-allergenic. None were broken, and they are not flimsy.

I gave these 4 stars because these arrived quickly, and were very easy to work with in designing earrings. BUT after wearing a pair for three days (taking them out at night, wearing 10 hours a day), I got the itchy/hot ear feeling!! My right ear lobe also began to get puss on the third day. I do have very sensitive ears, and was hoping that these "hypoallergenic" earrings would work....but they did not. Maybe it was the silver alloy in them? So I will be buying stainless steel and trying those next.

These hypo-allergenic earrings are great. Since I can't use them all I have fixed other patients earrings. I have one lady is very allergenic to gold. I have used about 40 of them 20 pairs. Since I've had them for awhile and haven't had one person complain I'd say that proves the fact they are great. I still have more hooks and more ladies I'm going to buy more. The price is right. I liked the fact that gun metal hooks were 100, which of course is a nice amount when making earrings. My only problem with these earrings is several came without the little spring and the little ball on the end. Also the color is more of a darker silver and not black. But they did say metal plated and not black. Just wanted you to know not to expect a darker color.

I make jewelry, especially earrings and I have purchased 1 set of the ear wires, but I am getting ready to purchase a second after this review. They work great, are hypoallergenic and I've had no complaints what so ever. I've tried others and while they worked, they were more expensive than these ear wires. I can't complain about anything at this point; I've had them just over a month. If I have problems, well, if my customers have problems, I'll write another review. At this point, I'm happy that my customers are happy.

I had 2 sets of earings that were missing the hook, so I ordered these ones (there is a ton in that come in the bag which is great for any future fixes) and they look great. I was able to work with the metal to bend just enough to connect it to the earing. It looks great!
