The aeriall booster of aerial booster.
Please bear in mind I've only had this signal booster for about 10 days as I write this review. It makes no consideration to its longevity only its current effectiveness. I live in an area that gets three TV transmitter receptions and the TV and DVD recorders can mess up from 4G/5G reception. Usually, the attunators and a regular 4G aerial booster at least gives some normality. However, this yuletide, the TV started flicking to the next channel and so thought they've put the gain up on the 4G'5G aerials for home use again but this is the first time I've seen it affect the TV and even putting an attunator directly into the TV before the lead didn't stop the problem. It was either that or the booster was dying. Looking on Amazon, I came across this one with its own control. Although it says it doesn't need attunators I aired this with an air of caution as I replugged into it, knowing I would have to retune all the channels. Initially, the TV still flipped a channel so pulled the attunator, re-tuned and the problem went. Jaw-dropping. I'm less sure about the booster's switch becasue you can't really work out which is high or low when the switch goes all the way round so not sure how high or low its set. Just spin if there is any problem. I must have lucked the right setting. With the DVD recorders, I initially only reset the channels but that was less effective so did a proper reinitialisation without attunators and they started working OK. There's still a little problem with finalising DVDs, which is a different story, but this is so much better and likely to pick up a spare as a back-up just in case it sells out. I'm impressed.

Compact and effective signal splitter and booster
I needed a replacement splitter and signal booster, ideally with a gain control. This item was exactly what I was looking for. It's also a very compact unit, which is always a plus. My application was for an RF TV aerial feed for DTV and this product works well for that. One review I read referred to the input needing an F type screw on plug, but that isn't the case. The input socket is a female coax connection. It was easy to install and works exactly as described. I'm very pleased with this purchase. Delivery is free and arrived ahead of the estimated date.

Not very successful
Although it looks sturdy enough, it had insufficient oomph & had difficulty if you asked it to perform to full capacity. Sorry to say - not fit for purpose.

Poor
Comes with male connectors on it, so you need adaptors to use it, very poor design.

VHF non-functional, UHF hit-and-miss
This review is based on two models supplied, both physically identical. This item comes in three parts - the first (largest) containing the F-connector inputs for UHF and VHF signals along with one output. Separate gain controls for UHF and VHF are present, and a green LED lights up when power is supplied (handy for confirming power if another booster is being used to supply it). The second box has one input and two outputs along with the power socket (so when connected to the first, you get two outputs with combined/boosted UHF and VHF). The third part is a (rather ungainly) power supply (which was actually outside the box with my second delivery - see first picture). The first model I received was branded Konig. UHF performance was good given my circumstances (a strong signal from Winter Hill and weaker signals from Storeton and Moel-y-Parc which I wanted to improve) being much better than the Optima MA-25LTE and just barely better than the Wolsey WFAV 225 LTE (full boosting would result in signal loss, but with 50% boost, a 67 strength, 40 quality signal from Moel-y-Parc (reported on a Humax HDR-Fox-T2) became a 55/100 signal (Wolsey managed 47/90 at half-boost).However things were far more disappointing with VHF - a 40/37db Classic FM/Radio 3 FM signal (measured on a Sony ST-D777ES) became 18/21db at minimum, 21/23 at 50% and -/20 at maximum boost. Far from boosting VHF, this unit attenuated it.Assuming this item to be faulty, I returned it and ordered a second. This appeared identical aside from having the Nedis brand. However problems soon arose with UHF when channel 55 (containing BBC HD channels) was not longer present. A quick check showed the problem - this model only handled UHF frequencies up to 694MHz (see second photo) so did not cover the full range (the Wolsey went up to 782MHz in comparison). This unit appears to be been intended for the Dutch market and was just supplied with a UK power supply without any consideration for its suitability. VHF performance turned out to be just as poor as with the Konig (28/30 without boost, -/17 min, 16/16 half, 21/16 max boost).Had either of these units performed as described, they would have scored a 5-star rating - I really wanted them to work. But given the problems with two samples, I would suggest that Ex-Pro have a quality control, as well as a specification problem that needs resolving before these can be recommended.
