I bought these before and use them on my kitchen cabinets where the color has chipped or scratched. They work great! Sometimes they require a few coats, but they make the worn-off paint or scratches almost unnoticeable.

People must think I'm crazy buying high end guns, and marking the sights. But none of the factory or after-market sights are perfectly designed in my opinion. I use this pen to mark the front sights around the tritium glow dot. Under daylight or dim light use, when the tritium is poorly visible - the white mark stands out with high contrast against my black rear combat sights. I further use it sparingly to mark a wispy thin horizontal cross mark on the top portion of the rear sight. Why? To look like a rock star -> using combat sights to make small group shots at 15 yards on paper. The horizontal mark acts like a cross hair when lined up properly with the front sight top edge. But when I go back to rapid combat shooting, my brain only picks up the front sight and ignores the small white marks again. I can go back and forth all day long this way. It works like a charm so I marked all my expensive handgun sights this way. No regrets...

Product was easy to use, but utterly useless. The espresso shade was closer to walnut than espresso - medium tone, warm and super sheer. The product was so sheer that it failed to cover any scratches. Upon initiating a return (1 used and 1 unopened), they require photos of the products. After submitting photos, they state that the product is not returnable.

Item is a bright matted silver color-no high chrome shine. Brought to touch up hardware on a purse. I have Michael Kors Hamilton Tote Handbag, with silver hardware, the bottom of silver feet and the metal square loop where the Lock hardware rests, lost some its color. I didn't like the cooper chipped look on the hardware. Went to my local shoe repair person, and he recommended that I paint or touch up the "cooper" chipped hardware. Checked Amazon. I did not want to tape up and cover most of my purse, therefore, I "ruled out" using a spray can. Tried the Paint Pen. A little disapointed, because it rubbed off a little on the loop/lock part of the hardware and it doesn't have high shine. Good for very small areas that are "chipped." The metal feet looks ok, but again, this is a very small area. "Hubby" says it looks ok. Only time will tell if it holds up, and if I need to buy a new MK purse. I gave it fours stars because it covered the cooper chipped look on the bottom metal feet area of the purse, and it didn't smell bad. Felt pen allows for easy painting and touch up without becoming a mess.

Shake this very well. I bought this to go over the worn out hot-stamped chrome of my dashboard. I have a 1979 Datsun 620 pickup, and the chrome trim (and lettering) on the instrument cluster bezel has worn off over the years. I gave the area a quick scrubbing with alcohol to degrease after cleaning, and got this handy little pen out. This doesn't really smell like paint. In fact it doesn't really have a smell at all, or at least I can't really smell it. It dries within seconds when it's warm out and in the sun. The pen tip is spring loaded so you push (kind of like liquid highlighters) to get the paint into the tip. Too much and it drips. Not enough and your coverage sucks. You'll find that sweet spot pretty quick, this pen is super easy to use. I re-did the chrome striping on my dash in 10 minutes, including the alcohol prep. Be very careful, and don't let the paint get too heavy or it'll dry weird. You're best to just go over it once and let it dry, then go over it again. This way the paint is more 'level' and it will take on a better 'chrome' look. This is a very fine silver paint, not chrome. Don't get confused, there is a massive difference. But unless you're looking at a brand new chrome piece next to this, 99% of people won't know if you do a really good job. Cleans up with rubbing alcohol, this stuff isn't meant to withstand the ages. I think if you purchased some matte clear (or gloss clear if you're ballsy), you could go over the entire dash piece - and this chrome pen - and it would last for years as long as the clear doesn't fail over the plastic. I was also successful in re-doing the Datsun badges for the glovebox on my 510, and even fixed a nick in the chrome on a window crank handle. For <$10 shipped, don't complain. It's two digits cheaper than sending your part off to get chromed.

It's really come through for me on all of my ebony guitars that get dings. From Epiphones, Squires, Fenders, Gibsons' and Ibanezes', not to mention some off brands. It's lasted me for years, though I might snag another soon, as the wood stick eventually starts to break down. I believe the stick can be replaced, but what's the point, it's so economical, might just as well get a new one. If you're a hobbyist, it's just as good as the typical Testors paint kits, just a heck of a lot more convenient. Sure, it wouldn't work for camo paint, but it's gonna be fantastic for tight details.

I have always used these paint pens in my stone mail box that has my house number on it, usually they use inferior paint on these numbers during house construction. The numbers will fade within a year but not with these paint pens. I have done both houses with these pens and it hasn’t faded in 5 years, bright numbers and easy to read compared to neighbors where you can’t see the house number on the mailbox.

I bought the pen to add color to the tip of my rifle front sight. It simply isn't made for that. The orange doesn't stand out well enough against the black sight. And the paint was a bit runny so after I applied it and it dried, I realized it had run along the edges of the sight. Easy enough to clean but a pain. It would be good to write florescent messages on a light background but for my intended plan, it wasn't right.

Great for rusted screw. It is not for putting on Chrome. . . . . . . . . .
