Protein Puff Bars, Snickerdoodle - 12 Bars | High-Protein Puff Bar Snack for Low-Sugar, Low-Carb, Gluten-Free Muscle Recovery & Healthy Snacking On-the-Go

First I want to say: if you compare ANY high quality protein bar/supplement to things like fad "recovery" bars or vegan "protein cookies" from the gas station, you should first turn your attention to the ingredients list. This product doesn't suffer at all from the absence of a barrage of ingredients only chemical engineers can pronounce. I was hesitant to buy it based on a few comments that mentioned it was dry, had no taste, etc. I would firmly disagree, though I understand everyone's experience is subjective. Here's what I would say... One of my favorite bars prior to this has been Big colossals apple pie bar. However, I get this only because they are widely available and I am always bothered by the ingredients and sugar. These have the same great crunch texture, much like a rice Krispy as one reviewer mentioned. It's perfectly sweet, has a balanced flavor and the ingredients are so much better. It is a higher price point per ounce, but you get what you pay for. Also, the bars I was eating were about 390 calories for for 30g protein with a good bit of added sugar. Eating 2 of these (weight would be about the same as one big colossal) is 300 calories and 30g protein (amazing for a bar and I think the lightest I've had yet). Overall- better ingredients by a landslide, refreshingly new taste and a great texture. If want your protein bar to taste like a candy bar (why I don't know),these may not be for you. But if you want a guilt-free, protein packed, low calorie snack to hit that sweet tooth, or to double up for a quick breakfast these are great. 👌 One add on is that I've been eating protein bars for over 15 years. Most are very chewy or have so much sugar/Splenda they are sickeningly sweet. The ones that try to be candy crunch bars are a dime a dozen(Gatorade, Alani nu, fitcrunch, even metrx). If you haven't had many to compare, that's what you are missing. There's something for everyone but if you are turning up your commitment to macros and generally healthier ingredients , these are the way to go.

These are pretty decent. It's hard to find "healthy" protein bars, and these seem to be an OK option. The only issue is that they taste like coconut (at least the Snickerdoodle flavor) because of the coconut oil in it. This is a problem in some other brands, too. Overall, they're dense but edible and the texture is decent. Flavor leaves something to be desired, but I've had worse. UPDATE: Chocolate and Chocolate Mint taste fine. 5 stars for them - Amazon does not seem to permit separate reviews. Vanilla, Birthday Cake, and Strawberries & Cream: 4.5 - flavor is a little odd but better than Snickerdoodle Blueberry & Cream is not good, as bad as Snickerdoodle: 4

Awful! Chalky and dry... Artificial sweetener flavor is overwhelming.. Blah

It’s a real challenge to find a protein bar that both tastes okay and doesn’t load up on sweeteners (be it sugar, zero-calorie, or artificial) and potentially unhealthy ingredients like palm oil. It’s even harder to find one that actually lists where it sources its protein and third party tests it. This bar is an exception. Sure, it’s not the tastiest thing you’ll ever eat, but that doesn’t mean it tastes bad. Think rice crispy treat but a little less sweet and a bit dry. The flavor is good (I had snickerdoodle), but the dryness can be a little off putting at first. That said, I like them better than other healthy protein bars like RX Bar. My only real complaint is the price. For me, they are too expensive to eat every day, but they’re absolutely worth it when I travel. I understand why it cost so much, though—it’s North American grass fed dairy, after all. And that’s more than most of the competition can claim.

Bought the snickerdoodle flavor and they don’t taste bad but the taste is so mild that after the first bite they literally taste like nothing. It’s a very weird sensation to be eating something and taste nothing. I personally won’t be buying them again, but tasting like nothing is better than tasting bad so I could see why someone might eat them for the nutritional value.

I wanted to like this bar more because of the ingredient profile and the macros, but it’s quite dry in texture and does not provide the best eating experience. The taste is average, but I need to slug milk or water with every bite because of the dryness. Not a fan.

A lot of reviews about these are unwarranted. G-D people whine. To be honest, I don't "love" any protein bar out there. They're way too sweet. I''m a man who gets kidney stones so I can't have any with almond or peanut butter. I don't want soy, so there's little choices for me. I just want whey. My go to was the One birthday cake and lemon because it's made with sunflower seed butter. But, these are really good. Like really good. They don't crumble to much. They're light. And they taste just fine. They aren't bland, just lightly sweetened. So, far I've had the snickerdoodle and the chocolate mint. Both were great.

They were a little crumbly but the flavor is really good! Like a healthy rice krispy treat. Great if you’re craving something sweet but don’t want all the sugar. Love that they have 15g Of protein too.
