My massive Presto pressure canner (23 qt) finally blew its gasket after 15 years. When this happens, the canner blows steam from the lid under pressure. It was showing signs, like dripping from the lid under pressure. This gasket fits perfectly! Yes, it is Presto brand since it came in a Presto box. Ah, life and canning can carry on. Thank you!

Fit size correct

My canner is about 6 years old and I have NEVER replaced the ring. Last canning season I did notice I was starting to have trouble pressuring up and I had some water dripping out of the sealed lid in some spots. I knew it was getting to be that time. So I purchased a couple new ones here on Amazon. I was scared because they are all folded up in the box, but once you place that in the lid of your pressure canner, it'll seat down quite nicely. My pressure canner pressured up with no problems and no leaks perfectly after this. Each box also comes with a new over-pressure plug. Make sure to change them both out at the same time. If the ring is starting to fail, the overpressure plug will soon follow, and it's just easier to replace it now than when it blows out and ruins the food in the canner later! And the price is spot on, cheaper than we can find here locally.

This is the third replacement for the gasket/seal for my 23 qt pressure cooker. We have used it a lot this year. The gasket lasts without degrading about 20 uses. Then it begins to deteriorate and eventually does not seal well.

Great fit and prompt shipping

I had ordered one from another vendor and had to return because it didn't fit correctly. This one fits luke the original and is a true presto sealing ring. Good to have a backup because I've really put the canner through its paces this summer. The rings are supposed to last a year. So I'm probably due for a change soon.

When using a pressure canner, I recommend using parts made by or for the manufacturer. Generic products might cost a little more but it is better to be safe than sorry, as pressure canners can be dangerous. So I was happy to be able to buy this on Amazon. I would have liked it a little faster because it is an Amazon Prime product but that may not be anything to do with the vendor. Amazon delivery driver was very good. They are not always, but this time they were excellent and did everything right. I think we ought to be able to review Amazon delivery service as a separate review. I recommend this product and vendor.
