FLEXCUT Detail Knife, High Carbon Steel Blade, Ergonomic Ash Handle, 1-1/2 inch Blade Bevel Length (KN13)

I got into wood carving not too long ago and absolutely love it. If you are new to the hobby, you will quickly realize there are millions of choices for carving knives out there, which can be a bit overwhelming. This knife fits in my hand nicely and is made with great quality. The blade is not super huge, but that was exactly what I was wanting it for. Came super sharp from the get go, but you will obviously need to sharpen it with use. Out of the 5 or so knives I currently have, this is usually my go-to and I highly recommend it if you are just starting out. As you get better, you may want to upgrade to the more expensive knives, but honestly, your knife isn't what matters, your skills are.

I was struggling with a larger beavercraft knife that came in a kit. I watched several videos and read through forums to figure out a better knife to try. I was overwhelmed with all the different knives out there. This one was repeatedly mentioned though. This knife + learning how to strop well has been a huge improvement on my carving experience!

Good blade but really don't like the way the handle fits in my hand.

Bought for a co-workers retirement gift. also gave him cut protection and some basswood.

This knife is 10x better quality than another brand being sold for just a few dollars less. The blade came highly polished and was razor sharp right out of the box. The handle is comfortable, did not require any sanding and does not have any hot spots after prolonged use. The red logo printed on the handle will make you pause a time or two... Seeing that flash of red while carving has made me think I cut myself a few times now. lol It's not really a down side if you think of it as a reminder to be careful and wear your glove, which it has! This is a great knife for beginners and old hands alike. You get great value at the price plus you're supporting an American company with American employees - love seeing "Made in the USA" on the packaging. That's a win all the way around in my book. I will certainly look to Flexcut for future purchases.

The Flexcut KN13 Detail knife cut through wood like butter. The handle is easy to grip. The knife is presharpened so I would urge beginners to be very careful. The price for one knife is just affordable for me. I'm poor so would like to see cost between 15 and 19 dollars but the quality I very good.
