How to Cheat in Unity 5: Tips and Tricks for Game Development: 9781138802940: Computer Science Books @ desertcart.com Review: As an intermediate user of Unity, I had high hopes for this book to teach me some cheats that could turn me into an expert, or at least give me an 'interview-fakery' level of expertise - the sort of tricks that only a team developer with years of professional experience in Unity would know. Sadly, I was disappointed. In my opinion, most of the 'cheats' themselves are more like 'hints & tips' for novices. Examples include Customizing the Editor, Static and Dynamic Arrays, and Overriding ToString, when I had hoped for far more advanced tricks such as Using Shared Assemblies (to improve build times and modularity), Automating Rigging With The Ragdoll Wizard. and Implementing Native Plugins, all of which I came across during my own personal projects. The book is well produced, with glossy pages, clear colour images and simple instructions on a wealth of topics, a nice 'coffee-table' book for beginner coders or content creators, but unfortunately it seems my hunt for a book of Unity programming mastery continues. Review: waste of 3000...I mean seriously 3000 for this ?
