This shampoo bar is wonderful. I love the clean smell of lemongrass, it lathers very well for coverage, and it seems to last forever. Also: there is little to no waste. It comes wrapped in brown paper with a fiber string. I do recommend keeping it in a soap container. To top off this purchase, Day Spa Body Basics included a lovely organic lemongrass lip butter that I use every day.

The smell of this bar shampoo is wonderful. It’s a light lemongrass smell that isn’t over powering. The only thing that I don’t like is that it will get really soggy/gooey if you don’t let it dry out between uses.

My 1st time trying a shampoo bar. I got the lemongrass fragerance. I loved everything about it. Smells wonderful, lathers up fine and cleans great. I cut into 2 pieces as suggested, and will order again, but it will last a long, long time. It came with lip balm, too!

this is a fabulous product. no icky ingredients and no container to junk up the earth. i waited to review until i had used a few times and am definitely pleased with the quality. my hair feels light and clean and smells amazing. the packaging was delightful and a gift was sent with my purchase.

Will not buy again but will use it up: scent is too strong even though I usually like & tolerate lemongrass (lighter is better); a bit drying (I need conditioner no matter the kind of shampoo); and burns if get in eyes. Good points: lathers nicely; literally leaves hair squeaky clean; generous size bar; USA made. Love idea of bar shampoo to eliminate plastic bottles so trying different brands. I’m 64 w/short salt&pepr, coarse, thick, dry, unruly, wavy hair that w/o conditioner & styling gel is a frizzball. Have tried Ethique’s sampler: really like except Kiwi w/pulp (don’t like idea of rinsing pulp out of hair); nice light scents; lathers nicely; doesn’t burn eyes (to cut down on bars in shower also use shampoo for face); not USA made. I will try other US brands.

I buy shampoo bars so I can avoid plastic bottles. This shampoo bar came in and guess what it is wrapped in? PLASTIC. Such disappointment, totally against the reason why I buy shampoo bars.

Used this on a week long trip through the Rubicon. It smells great, lathers well, travels well (we cut it into four sticks and only used one on our trip), feels ok on skin and the best part is that I came home with zero mosquito bites. I'm usually covered in dozens at the end of a camping trip and this was the first ever where I didn't get a single one.Negative was for his it felt in my hair. It wasn't dry but I have straight thin hair and it felt crunchy, but that may have been the lake water.

I wanted to love this product, but it left a residue on my hair that I couldn't rinse out until I washed it again. I tried three times and had the same result each time. Maybe the hard water reacted with the type of soap? Anyway, it smelled great, and like I said, I wanted to love it, but it just did not work for me.
