I'm just ordering my 4th American Hunter feeder. If it wasn't for tree limbs breaking off or bucket handles failing I'd still be on my first 2. If you don't move the pins too often where the hole becomes enlarged I've had no problems with the pins. The timer battery usually has to be replaced once a year and my 6 volt one last 2 yrs or more on the lower feed settings. Product definitely works for me.

I ordered this part for my husband. He needed to fix the deer feeder. It was easy to install and is still working..

American Hunter Feeder Kit with Analog Clock Timer and Varmint Guard
This feeder kit is the easiest to use of all the feeder kits on the market; this is number 5 in my inventory and these have accumulated over a three year span.1. Install Batteries2. Set the time3. Install pins at the your selected times for automatic feeding / up to 24 times a day / my feeders do well with two feedings each day.4. Set the amount of feed with the minimum / maximum knob5. Replace the coverThe American Hunter Feeder Kit with the Analog Clock Timer is reliable and as stated, it is the easiest to set and know that it is set properly. The digital feeders are subject to being complicated to program and I just personally have a hard time understanding the instructions.

They are good but the squirrels and racoons destroyed after some time of use.
Those are the replacements for the feeder's originals.I used the originals for two years. The timer system works and I can say is mechanical, but excellent. The AA timer battery should be replaced maybe ones a year.I programed to distribute food two times a day.Charging the main battery with small solar panel.I liked, but they had some problems after sometime. The main batteries failed, but not the charging capacity. What failed was the springs.I fixed soldering the springs to the battery.I'm using Duracell Ultra 6V 5AH AGM SLA Battery with Spring Terminals. The biggest issue was that the squirrels and some racoons finished eating the plastic covers.Maybe if the top part is metallic they will be perfect.

I love them! Super easy to set the feeding times
I have 4 of these feeders that I use for deer hunting. I love them! Super easy to set the feeding times, feed rate, and super reliable. As long as you take the batteries out when not in use they last multiple seasons. In my experience the batteries will go bad over time and acid leaks on the terminals. Great product for the money and would highly recommend them.

Not a good feeder. The analog timer never did work for me. I built a home made feeder from a plastic drum and attached this feeder to the bottom. It's been two months and there is still the same amount of feed in my feeder from when I first put it in 😔. I've tried replacing batteries and "wiggling the wires" as the American hunter customer service recommended and nothing works. It does have a two year warranty, but I have to send the feeder back to American Hunter on my dime, wait 4 weeks so they can fix it, then pay shipping to get it back. Or I can buy another "replacement feeder" from American hunter, still send mine back, pay all shipping and handling and end up with two junk feeders. I wouldn't recommend this feeder to Isis member!

I like the analog model as the digital requires that you set it for every time for every day. The analog is much easier as you just put a pin in the 24 hour timer. the animals don't care as long as the feeder spits out feed when they expect it to.I do have a problem that they only last about 6-8 months. The battery and clock still work but the spinner motor seems to be the part that fails. On the phone with American hunter again, this one lasted almost 9 months. Motor is loose and the micro switch that activates the motor does not work.

Great for the price
What I like about this timer is that it is easy to assemble and mount on your feeder. I mounted this motor on my wild game plastic feeder; I would suggest using heavy threaded screws to attach to any plastic feeder.Just as a side note, you need a 6 V coil battery and one AA battery
