Great Vacuum Part
So far this part has worked great with our wall vacuum system. Would recommend it.

👍
Works very well and as much lighter weight in the last one I had

Original lasted 20+ years so CenTec it is
Works better than the old CenTec 110 which did have a long life. Chassis cracked on the belt side after 20+ years. New design is an improvement for the plush low pile carpet. Fewer lines and less hair left behind.

Game Changer for Ultra Plush Carpets
I wish I would have bought this up front. I have ultra plush carpet so I would have to set other power nozzles on high and open the suction control wide open. I can leave it closed and vacuum on medium setting.

Quieter than the last one
So far so good, quieter than the previous central vac head we had. We had to do some adjusting to make it work on our system, so only 4/5 stars. And it is a little tight getting the wand to connect fully.

Shipped a used item instead of a new unused item. Very disappointed.
That it was a used product. Suction power for this unit is dependent on your Central Vac suction power and has nothing to do with the power head.

poor replacement for CT10
had been using model CT10 for 6 years when parts began to wear and unfortunately found no parts are available, CT10 was exceptionally light and small enough to get under most items - too bad it had to be discontinued. CT25 at least uses the same wand and no issues with its use except it is significantly larger and heavier.

Worth the price.
Unit performs well but maneuvers sloppy. The release button should on the left side and not in the center.

Excellent replacement for worn out CT20DXQD, BUT requires different wand
Our old Cen-Tec CT20DXQD model has been used for 9 years. It has been a very good power head during that time, having cleaned up behind our much loved large breed dog for about 5 of those years. It performed much, much better than the TurboCat air-powered power head we'd used to that point. In those 9 years I repaired the electrical flex cord on the CT20 twice as it is designed a little too short which causes the wire to break after repeated flexing between the wand and power head. The problem with the CT20 that prompted a need for replacement was the poor design of the wheels. They are simply a press-in plastic wheel on a plastic spindle. After 9 years the plastic wore away to the point the spindle on the powerhead body no longer exists and the wheels will not stay on. I guess 9 years of plastic-on-plastic wear isn't too bad though. The new CT23QD model appears to have addressed both the electrical cord issue and the wheel issue. This CT23 has a double-swivel neck, making it easier to use around furniture, and the extra length of the double-swivel has increased the electrical cord length allowing it to flex more naturally and less severely so hopefully has eliminated the wire breakage issue suffered twice by my CT20. The wheels on the CT23 are now under the body, and are a plastic small diameter roller on a steel spindle that snaps into place. They look like they will last much longer that those on the CT20, and appear they may also be replaceable. As far as cleaning, the CT23 works as well or better than the CT20 it replaced. BE AWARE though. Cen-Tec made a change in their wand design at some point in the past few years. The wand that works with the CT20 does not work with the CT23. The lower extension of the wand that fits into the powerhead is shorter on the new models than the old. This means the old style wand will bottom out in the powerhead connector before the electrical connector is fully connected. It is only a 9/16" inch difference, but this is enough to prevent the wands from being interchangeable. I had to buy a new generic wand with the shorter tip to work with the CT23. The shorter tip wand will work (electrically) with the CT20 but the lock button on the wand is in the wrong place to engage the lock hole on the powerhead, so the wand will tend to pull away from the powerhead in use. If you are trying to compare wands, the measurement on the old (long tip) wand is 4 9/16" from the base of the electrical connector to the wand tip, whereas the measurement on the new model wand is only 4". Because I bought this as an "Amazon warehouse-used" deal at almost half price it was still a great deal, even after having to buy a new wand. It arrived with a small crack on the electrical connector housing, probably from a previous purchaser trying to force a too-large, not-compatible wand into the powerhead. Otherwise it has been a great purchase so far.

SCAMMER ALERT
I ordered the above Cen-Tec Systems product and the box came with an old beat up Beam product (see photo of device and supplied literature) that was not even compatible with my Hayden power head which has died after nearly 20 years.
