Bakuman volume 9 contains chapters 71 to 79.It is rated T for teen due to "suggestive themes".Summary: Bakuman is about 2 boys, Moritaka Mashiro and Akito Takagi, who dream of becoming professional manga creators. Mashiro is in charge of the art and Takagi writes the story. Together the duo call themselves Muto Ashirogi. Mashiro promised his girlfriend, Miho Azuki, that when both his dream and her dream of becoming a voice actress come true, they will get married.Aiko Iwase and Eiji Nizuma have now joined together to form a seemingly unbeatable team. Will Mashiro and Takagi be able to surpass them? Takagi goes to meet Miyoshi's father to ask permission to marry her. He finds out that her dad was a good friend of Taro Kawaguchi! And the duo still don't think that gag manga is right for them so they have another talk with Miura and the editor in chief.There's a problem that I have with some VIZ Media manga. The paper feels like sandpaper. I would have loved to read this in one-sitting but couldn't because it just hurt my hands. It's like they are trying to force us to go digital. But instead, it makes me not want to buy anything from them at all.Other than that, this is a great volume! (if we ignore the marriage stuff) The plot is moving along at a nice pace. I still can't give it a 5/5 though because of Miyoshi. But hopefully she will take a back seat from now and the story will concentrate on the manga side.The cover has Aoki on so that alone made me want to buy it. She doesn't feature in this volume as much as I hoped for though.

This is a great volume of Bakuman! I was rather worried about the story loosing my interest after the previous few volumes, however this volume offers an invigorating new perspective on the story about two high school/college boys writing their own manga. Definitely with a buy :-)

The book came in perfect condition, and it's exactly what I was hoping for. This series is funny, educational, romantic and overall entertaining. Time flies by when I read it!

what can I say, it arrived in very good condition, it was a birthday gift for my daughter she was very pleased with it.

Seeing as Bakuman is made by the same guys who made Death Note I was slightly worried at the end of Vol.8 as I felt the story was becoming a bit flat and if you have read death note you'd understand that there was about a four volume slump before the story picked up again. Fortunately Vol.9 of Bakuman has erased my worries, the story really picked up with a lot of new and interesting developments. This is probably my favorite manga and i'm still amazed at how this manga making story is so captivating. I can't wait for the next volume but if you've read up to 8 I strongly recommend you buy this you wont regret it !
