I have no idea why I was so attracted to this tea kettle. It looked like a beautifully crafted item in the pictures and that's something I really enjoy. Well, trust me...the pictures don't do it justice.I received mine today and it's simply stunning. The finish is perfect. The fit of the various pieces to one another is perfect. The lid fitment is perfect. The finish on the inside is perfect. I can't find a single flaw on the piece at all.When placed on the stove top the hammer pattern in the copper casts countless little diamonds on the surface of the stove as it reflects the light.I won't be using it until I move into a new home in about 2 weeks. I can't wait. I'm anxious to see how it ages over time. Few things look as good as well used copper over the years.Don't waste your money on anything less and don't spend more than you need to. This piece is a bargain at this price. If you think it looks good in the photos, wait til you actually see it.

So the reviewer who said it was just plated is wrong, the inside is plated with tin or nickel to prevent copper poisoning, but the kettle is in fact copper, and its beautiful and functional. I adore this kettle, honestly the most beautiful piece in my kitchen, do not hesitate to buy. The lid is an easy off and the handle doesnt get too hot to handle when water boils, which was key for me. I love it!

We purchased this lovely copper kettle several months ago. We thought it would look nice on the stove with our other fall decor. We have been pleased with this purchase, overall, but do wish the lid would have fit a bit tighter. The solution to this issue is to make sure you hold your finger on the wooden knob when pouring so that the lid does not fall off the top. We would purchase this pretty kettle again!

Absolutely gorgeous copper kettle that is made in and ships from Japan. In fact, all the literature that comes with it is in Kanji with no English translations. It takes the better part of a month to ship from Japan standard shipping. But free and slow is still free, and it is worth the wait.

Very sad. I wanted to love this but it hasn't even been a year and the copper color has turned brass/gold. Wish I could return or get refund as it was expensive.

This tea kettle is beautiful when brand new which would be fantastic if you only want it for decoration. I used mine on a gas stove and the copper discolored immediately. It also gets spots on the finish where water drops are left if it isn't dried thoroughly, making this is a high-maintenance beauty. It does come with a bit of cleaner, so the manufacturer must know water-spotting is an issue. The lid fits loosely, which is a SAFETY ISSUE. When my husband was burned by steam when the lid came off as he poured water for his tea. It is possible to hold the lid on with your thumb because there is a wooden knob on the top. That only helps if you know that it's loose, but he didn't because the pot was brand new and I had filled it. Our other tea kettle ($6 aluminum, made for camping) has a lid that snaps into place and stays put. It also has a whistle, which is a nice feature that this one lacks. My opinion is that this pretty kettle is better suited for decoration than for daily use.

Great design. Mouth of the kettle is so wide that I can see the inside of the kettle easily. The last one was so small it was tough to clean inside. Almost scared to look in there. Cleaning paste came with it and works well. I do use ketchup to keep it clean. Hope it will last for many years.

ゴールドの銅色で鮮やか。かなりの水量が入り使いやすい。ガスコンロと炭火の囲炉裏、両方で使っている。囲炉裏の五徳に置いてもピッタリサイズ、違和感なく利用している。やかんの水、お湯が濁る事なく、毎日お茶や白湯に飲用している。良い買い物をしたと思う。

去年の今頃、自分へのクリスマスプレゼントに買いました。丸1年使って、いい感じの色合いになってます。磨き粉が付属してます。磨けばピカピカになります。蓋の周囲はスムース仕上げなので、特にこの部分を磨くと綺麗です。鎚目部分と底部はあまり磨かず、むしろ風合いを楽しんでます。アルミケトルと湯沸時間を比較しましたが、あまり差がありませんでした。熱伝導が良いと言う事は、蓋や側面からの放熱も大きいからと推測します。（水温、水量、火力、室温等にもよると思います。）真鍮とウッドからならハンドルは仕上げも美しく、ウッド中央の溝は滑り止めとして機能してます。とても良い買い物をしました。大満足の逸品です。

最初はとても綺麗でした。使っていくうちに色紙がくすんできたがやむ終えないかな。火の通りは良さそうで沸くのが早い気がする

大きさ、デザインともにとても気に入ってます。正しい白湯を沸かす為に購入しました。心なしか、白湯がトロっと柔らかい印象です。お値段はしますが、買って後悔はしないくらいの良い品です。

ステンレス製の同サイズのやかんを持っていましたが、それと比べて軽いです。熱伝導が良いのかお湯が沸くのも速く、電気ケトルを買わなくてもストレスなくお茶が飲めます。レトロなデザインでインテリアとしての可愛らしさもあるので、使って洗って経年変化を楽しみながら長く保有しようと思います。
